Go underwater and discover the wonder of the Ipswich Scuba Explorer programs The Ipswich Scuba Explorers programs allows children starting at age six (for snorkelling) and age 8 (for scuba diving) to go underwater and sample the different ways they can explore the aquatic world. Through 4 fun-filled pool sessions and with optional specialities to complete, they will gain a solid foundation in ocean conservation, have the opportunity to experience aquatic adventures in confined water conditions under the supervision of an instructor. Come and Dive the North Norfolk Coast with Us! If you are a diver who just wants to go diving, these one of these day trips or all of them are for you! The Main Sites In North Norfolk, along the 5-mile stretch between Cley-Next-to-the-sea and Weybourne there are 2 wrecks from the Great War within swimming distance of the shore. These are The Rosalie and The Vera. Also, nearby are the Norfolk Chalk Reefs. Both these wrecks are not very deep down so make good grounds for divers of all levels and abilities and provide a good opportunity of some excellent UK Sea diving. The Vera is in 5-6 metres of water and the Rosalie can be found at 9 metres deep. Surrounding chalk reefs are also shallow at between 4 and 7 metres deep. Whilst the diving is not deep the surrounding life is vibrant with lots to be seen including lobsters, crabs, pipefish, bass, mackerel and more. The Plan This is fairly independent in diving. You will need to let Ipswich Scuba know you are coming so we can send out the details of the dive site we intend to go to, timings for the day and where we shall meet for the day. You make your own way there, bring your own equipment (available to hire from Ipswich Scuba), meet up with your dive buddies and go diving. Drysuit diving opens up a world of opportunities, including diving remote Arctic destinations and exploring cold-water dive sites teeming with life, especially worthwhile if you want to dive in the UK and wish to join us on one of our exciting UK trips. Dry suit diving also keeps you warm on multi-dive days when you do not want to spend your time getting in and out of a cold wetsuit. Our SSI Dry Suit Diving specialty program is the best way to become a dry suit diver and teaches you all the knowledge and techniques you need to dive safely and comfortably in a dry suit. You will learn how to use specialized equipment, like dry suits and BCs, the benefits of dry suits and how to deal with dry suit emergencies – unique to this type of diving. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Dry Suit Diving specialty certification. To complete the course you will need to complete online learning, one confined water pool session for dry suit orientation, and 2 Open Water Dry Suit dives completed on one of our Open Water weekends.

In this specialty program, you will gain the advanced skills and knowledge you need to safely and confidently navigate underwater. You will also be taught how to combine navigation techniques to enhance your diving experience. All of which hones your underwater observation skills, improves your dive safety and helps you to get the most out of every dive. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Navigation Specialty certification.

During our course you will learn how to plan and conduct dives from between 18 and 40 meters deep and earn your Deep Diving Specialty certification. As a deep diver, you’ll get to discover some of the world’s best dive sites and most sought-after marine life. Our deep diving qualification will teach you all you need to dive to depths between 18 and 40 meters, through a mixture of academic sessions and open water dives. Over our Stoney Cove weekend you’ll learn to plan and safely complete your deep diving adventures and use of computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most from your deep dives, whilst under the supervision of one of our instructions.
