Would you like to experience the fascination of diving for yourself and immerse yourself in a whole new world?Then our introductory dive at the Esslingen Diving Center is just right for you.It offers you the perfect opportunity to get to know scuba diving in a relaxed atmosphere—no prior experience required. In our on-site diving tower, we’ll guide you step by step through the basics of scuba diving.Our experienced instructors take plenty of time right from the start to answer your questions and explain the most important basics—from proper breathing technique to equalizing pressure. You’ll then receive a briefing on the equipment and the dive procedure before entering the water with the group.In the protected environment of our dive tower, you’ll experience what your first breaths underwater and weightlessness feel like. You’ll also practice your first skills from the Open Water Diver course—such as clearing your mask and controlling your buoyancy—always under the safe supervision of our instructors. This specialty course provides you with the knowledge and advanced skills you need to navigate safely and confidently underwater. You will learn the correct use of the compass, natural navigation techniques, estimating distances, leaving and returning to a given point and simple navigation patterns. You will also learn how to combine navigation techniques to optimize your diving experience. All of this will sharpen your underwater observation skills, increase your diving safety and help you get the most out of every dive. Upon completion of the course, you will receive the SSI Navigation Specialty certification.

As a deep diver, you have the unique opportunity to explore some of the world's best dive sites and most popular marine life. There is so much waiting for you in the deep blue sea. In a balanced combination of theory sessions and open water dives, the SSI Deep Diving Specialty course will teach you everything you need for dives between 18 and 40 meters. You will learn how to plan and safely conduct your deep diving adventures and how to get the most out of your deep dives with the help of dive computers and gas consumption calculations. Upon completion of the course, you will receive your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification and be able to explore the most beautiful deep dive sites wherever you want. React Right is SSI's emergency first responder course and provides the knowledge and practical skills to act as a first responder in a medical emergency. In this flexible course, you can choose your subject areas, such as initial assessment, first aid, CPR and stabilization techniques. You will learn more about administering emergency oxygen and using the defibrillator (AED). With a combination of theory and practical exercise scenarios, this course will give you important tools and confidence to provide emergency assistance. As part of the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver (AOWD) program, you’ll complete a total of five adventure dives from five different SSI specialty courses. In our compact course, the theory and pool sessions are designed to help you achieve your Open Water certification within three intensive weekends, without compromising on the quality of your training.

What should you do if something is wrong with your dive buddy? How should you respond if your buddy becomes stressed underwater? How can you help a diver who is physically exhausted, both underwater and on the surface? How can you safely reach the surface with another diver in an out-of-air situation? There are numerous stressful situations that can be resolved with quick and correct action before something worse happens. The Diver Stress & Rescue course was developed to help you master such situations. In this course, your attention will be fully focused for the first time on your dive buddy and on preventing, recognizing, and resolving problems both above and below the water. The course includes both theoretical and practical training sessions in the pool and in open water.Certification requires proof of training in first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), AED use, and emergency oxygen administration (O2 Provider). Both training certificates must not be more than two years old. If you cannot provide proof of these certifications, we recommend that you enroll in our SSI React Right course. This course covers all the training content required for the Stress & Rescue certification.If you already have a current certificate for first aid/CPR/AED training (e.g., from the German Red Cross, Johanniter, etc.), you can complete the remaining O² component with us as part of the Stress & Rescue course for an additional fee of €29.
