In SSI's Basic Diver program, you'll learn the skills and knowledge you need to experience diving down to 12 meters with an SSI professional. It's a great way to explore the underwater world more fully during your diving experience. The Basic Diver program can be fully credited towards the Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver programs within 6 months, so you can take the next step in your diving adventure.

The Assistant Instructor designation is the next step after becoming a Divemaster along the dive instructor pathway. It allows you to gather valuable teaching experience, train on briefs, teach academic sessions, and conduct water training. If you want to further your career as a diving professional, you can finish the Instructor Training Course, pass the Instructor Assessment, and become an Open Water Diving Instructor.

As a Nitrox diver, you can increase your bottom dive times and safety margin, as well as shorten your surface dives - so you can spend more time diving and less time waiting! In this program, you will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge as you learn how to plan and dive safely using enriched air mixtures containing up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion, you will receive your SSI Enriched Air Nitrox (EAN) 32% or 40% certification.

Night diving requires different skills than daytime diving. The SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility Specialty is the best way to learn about night diving and practice the techniques you'll need to become a safe and confident night diver. In this program, you will be provided with all the knowledge and skills you need to dive safely and comfortably at night or in limited visibility conditions. By combining online learning with training dives in open water, you will learn how to enter and exit the water, use specialized equipment, and how to communicate with your buddy easily at night or under limited visibility. Upon completion, you'll earn your SSI Night and Limited Visibility Diving Specialty certification and be ready to go night diving with confidence.

The SSI Deep Diving Specialty will teach you all you need to dive to depths between 18 and 40 meters, through a mixture of academic sessions and open water dives. You will learn to plan and safely complete your deep diving adventures and use computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most from your deep dives. Upon completion, you will earn your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification and be able to explore beautiful deep dive sites wherever you choose. This SSI Specialty is also a prerequisite for some advanced training, making it the next logical step to take in your dive education.

This program is the start of a lifelong adventure as a qualified scuba diver. You will receive personalized personalized training and in-water training sessions to learn and practice the skills and experience needed to not only be able to dive, but to dive with confidence. But to be able to dive with confidence and comfort. You will receive your SSI Open Water Diver license at the end of this program.

This globally recognized certification program is the best way to begin your lifelong adventures as a certified scuba diver. Personalized training is combined with in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. You will earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification.

The Divemaster program is the first step on an exciting journey. Earn the respect of your dive buddies and become an ambassador for diving by taking the Divemaster program. All you need to get started are 40 verified/logged dives and certifications in Deep Diving, Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility or at least 5 logged/verified dives experience in each area plus Diver Stress & Rescue. You will be certified as a Dive Guide after successfully completing the Divemaster program. When your interest is to turn your passion into a profession by guiding certified divers, teaching Ecology programs, assisting instructors or even becoming an instructor yourself, your next step is the Divemaster Upgrade with a minimum of 60 logged/verified. Upgrade to Divemaster right away or any time after by self-studying the Science of Diving materials, passing the Digital Final Exam which makes you an SSI Professional.
