The SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty is the best way to improve your buoyancy and get the most out of every dive. Buoyancy is an essential diving skill, but any diver will tell you that it takes time to perfect it. With the Perfect Buoyancy specialty, you’ll learn advanced skills and techniques so you can master your buoyancy faster and enjoy more relaxed diving adventures. In this fascinating program, you’ll also learn new skills that protect the environment and work in any situation. Upon completion, you’ll earn the SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty certification. With better buoyancy, you’ll soon be able to float even more easily, take the underwater photos you’ve always dreamed of, and effortlessly explore the ocean.

On Sunday, September 20, 2026, we are hosting a special dive day with an additional mission: to clean up our dive site together. In the context of World Cleanup Day and the SSI Blue Oceans program we roll up our sleeves and enjoy the Grevelingen and Oosterschelde throughout the season. This is the time to give something back to the underwater life that makes these places so special. What are we going to do? - Remove litter along the shore and in the parking lot - Register found litter (citizen science via SSI Blue Oceans) - Create awareness about the protection of our waters Even if you are not a diver, you are welcome to participate. Please note that due to restrictions of the ARBO legislation, we cannot clean up waste under water. However, it is possible to make a dive separately from the clean-up action, guided or not. If you want to, please report to the dive center at least a week in advance to schedule this. Why participate? As divers, we see what ends up underwater: fishing lines, plastic, cans, rope debris... Every piece of trash that does not enter the water makes an immediate difference to lobsters, crabs, fish and cuttlefish. We have the unique opportunity not only to enjoy the underwater world, but to actively protect it. Together we are making an impact. As a Nitrox diver you can increase your bottom times or safety margins and of course shorten surface intervals - so you can spend more time exploring the dive sites you love most and less time waiting! In this program, you will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge while learning how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures containing up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certification.

The SSI Deep Diving Specialty teaches you everything you need to dive to depths between 18 and 40 meters through a combination of theory and open-water dives. You’ll learn how to plan and ensure the safety of your deep diving adventures, as well as how to use dive computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most out of your deep dives. Upon completion, you’ll earn your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification and be able to explore beautiful deep dive sites wherever you want. This SSI specialty is also a prerequisite for other advanced courses, making it the next logical step toward earning your Deep Diver certification.
