Event description

To join the SSI Instructor Training Course (ITC), you must be a certified Divemaster or hold an equivalent qualification. This comprehensive program is part of SSI’s 2-Step Instructor Training Approach. It begins with the Instructor Training Course combination, supported by immersive digital learning. After successfully completing the ITC, you will attend the Instructor Evaluation (IE) to become an SSI Open Water Instructor.

As a certified instructor, you’ll be able to independently teach key SSI programs such as Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue, and Dive Guide.

Open Water Instructor (Instructor Training Course ITC)

Start today – you need to be a Divemaster or equivalent to participate in SSI's three-step instructor training method. The training process begins with attending an assistant coach/coach training course combined with digital learning. Upon successful completion of the Instructor Training Program (ITC), you will take the Instructor Assessment (IE) to qualify as an SSI Open Water Instructor. During the 10-day training course, you will be qualified to independently teach SSI's various major courses such as Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Nitrox Diver, Diver Pressure & Rescue, and Dive Guide.

For those who wish to spend more time learning and gain valuable teaching experience between training sessions, the three sections of Assistant Coaching, Coach Training Course (ITC) and Coach Evaluation (IE) can also be taken as a separate step at their own pace and flexible schedule.

Before enrolling in the full specialty training, you'll experience deep diving and navigation, along with 3 other specialty areas. This is a fantastic way to experience advanced diver training and see how valuable it is for your diving adventures. In the Advanced Open Water Diver course, you'll complete an open water training dive in each specialty area after a comprehensive introduction by an SSI instructor, experiencing 5 different specialty areas. After completing this course, you'll have complete freedom to explore. You can complete the full specialty training at any time in the future and credit the Advanced Open Water Diver course to your progress.
