Open Water Instructor (Instructor Training Course ITC)

Take an Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty course if you want to shorten your surface intervals and extend your dive time. You'll spend more time exploring your favorite dive sites instead of waiting! With the course you will expand your diving knowledge to plan safe dives with enriched air mixtures up to 40% oxygen. After completing the course, you will receive an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox certification for 32% or 40%.

The combination of personalized instruction and practical training sessions ensures that you gain the skills and experience of a confident, safe diver. At the end of the course you will receive the SSI Open Water Diver certification.

Become a Dive Instructor and Live Your Passion To participate in SSI's Instructor Training Course (ITC), you must be a certified Divemaster or have an equivalent qualification. This comprehensive course is part of SSI's 2-Step Instructor Training Approach. It begins with a combination of the Instructor Training Program, supported by immersive digital learning. Upon successful completion of the ITC, you will take the Instructor Evaluation (IE) to become an SSI Open Seas Instructor. As a certified instructor, you will be able to independently teach SSI's core programs such as Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue and Dive Guide. Need more time or want to gain hands-on experience before becoming a full instructor? You can take the Assistant Instructor part as a stand-alone step. This allows you to assist with real student lessons, create valuable teaching experience and then complete the Instructor Assessment at your own pace.
