The focus of this research mission takes us to the sinking sites of various WW1 and WW2 wrecks. The aim of this archaeological research in the depths of the Baltic Sea is to record the wrecks and their surroundings with photo / video. Objective of the expedition: Scientific recording of underwater ship monuments by photo - video and photogrammetry.
Further archaeological investigation of wreck components for dendrochronological age determination, completion of the data collections (wreck site survey Baltic Sea), as well as protection of the technical underwater monuments. This research project is accompanied by Marine Research Germany and the following partners. During the trip to the north and on the way back we will make a stopover to dive some great lakes that are on the way. We are still discussing exactly which lakes we will be visiting together as a group. This year is the third time in a row that we are going to the Baltic Sea.
