The SSI Scuba Diver program combines online learning with confined-water and open-water dives, giving you the basic knowledge you need to dive safely and confidently. You’ll learn everything you need to know to dive in open water to a depth of 12 meters alongside an SSI professional. With this program, you’ll complete nearly half of the Open Water Diver program training and can easily upgrade your certification. All you need to do is complete the remaining academic portion and the confined-water sessions, plus two open-water training dives.

With the SSI Deep Diving specialty, you’ll learn everything you need to dive between 18 and 40 meters deep through a combination of classroom sessions and open-water dives. You’ll learn how to safely plan and complete deep dives and how to use dive computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most out of your deep dives. Upon completion, you’ll earn your SSI Deep Diving specialty certification and be able to explore deep dive sites wherever you go. This SSI specialty is a prerequisite for some advanced diving programs, making it the most recommended next step in your diving training.

There’s nothing quite like diving on wrecks, and with the Wreck Diving specialty, you’ll gain all the skills and knowledge you need to become a wreck diver with complete safety and confidence. By combining classroom and confined-water sessions, this program prepares you to conduct safe, non-penetration dives on wrecks and artificial reefs to a maximum depth of 30 meters. In addition to the main navigation techniques and basic navigation patterns, you’ll learn how to use a compass, calculate distance, and navigate from and back to a specific point. You’ll also learn to combine different navigation techniques to enhance your diving experience. SSI’s Perfect Buoyancy specialty is ideal for improving your buoyancy and getting the most out of your dives.
