As a Nitrox diver you can increase your bottom times or safety margins and of course shorten surface intervals - so you can spend more time exploring the dive sites you love most and less time waiting! In this program, you will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge while learning how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures containing up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certification.

The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue specialty program teaches you the skills you need to protect yourself and other divers. You'll learn how to recognize stress, prevent accidents and learn practical techniques to perform rescues and provide emergency care. With a combination of sessions in the pool and in open water, you'll be well prepared and confident in handling emergencies and rescue situations. The SSI Deep Diving Specialty teaches you everything you need to dive to depths between 18 and 40 meters through a mix of theory and open water diving. You'll learn how to plan and make your deep diving adventures safe and use computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most out of your deep dives. Upon completion, you will earn your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification and be able to explore beautiful deep dive sites wherever you want. This SSI specialty is also a requirement for other advanced courses making it the next logical step to get your Deep Diver certification.

These impressive structures attract an unusually high abundance of marine life and give you the chance to immerse yourself in history while you dive. Nothing beats wreck diving, and the SSI Wreck Diving Specialty teaches you all the skills and knowledge you need to become a safe and confident wreck diver. Through a combination of theory and in-water sessions, you’ll learn how to safely conduct non-penetration dives around wrecks and artificial reefs, down to depths of 30 meters.
