This course is based on the use of trimix as a breathing gas and is designed to reduce the likelihood of inert gas narcosis and increase diving safety. An "air" option in the course is available for those areas where helium is not available. The SSI Decompression Diving Specialty course teaches you how to dive beyond the no-decompression limits. You will learn to plan and conduct dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using your recreational diving equipment and a single tank. You’ll learn and practice how to effectively use the functions of your dive computer, such as gas switching or gas integration, as well as remaining air time and ascent time.
