The SSI Decompression Diving specialty will teach you how to dive beyond the no-decompression limits. You’ll learn to plan and conduct dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using your recreational diving equipment and a decompression tank. You’ll learn how to effectively use the functions of your dive computer, including gas switching, reserve time, and ascent time. Using these computer functions will become second nature, allowing you to safely conduct limited-decompression dives without having to spend hours planning the dive. Upon completion of this course, you’ll earn the SSI Decompression Diving certification and will be able to explore magnificent deep sites or large wrecks without being limited by no-decompression limits.
