With the SSI Deep Diving specialty, you’ll learn everything you need to dive between 18 and 40 meters deep through a combination of classroom sessions and open-water dives. You’ll learn how to safely plan and complete deep dives and how to use dive computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most out of your deep dives. Upon completion, you’ll earn your SSI Deep Diving specialty certification and be able to explore deep dive sites wherever you go. You don’t need to be an expert swimmer, and there are no age restrictions for participating in the Snorkel Diver program. You just need to feel comfortable in the water, be able to maintain buoyancy, and be ready to embark on the adventure of a lifetime. In this program, you’ll learn about the equipment and skills needed to snorkel safely. The training process begins with enrollment in the combined Assistant Instructor / Instructor Training Course accompanied by digital learning. Upon successful completion of the Instructor Training Course (ITC), you will enroll in an Instructor Evaluation (IE) to qualify as an SSI Open Water Instructor. This 7-day training program qualifies you to independently teach several key SSI programs, such as Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue and Dive Guide. For those who want to take more time to learn and gain valuable teaching experience between training programs, the 3 parts can also be completed as individual steps: Assistant Instructor, Instructor Training Course (ITC) and Instructor Evaluation (IE), one after the other, at your own pace and flexible schedule.

To join the SSI Instructor Training Course (ITC), you must be a certified Divemaster or hold an equivalent qualification. This comprehensive program is part of SSI’s 2-Step Instructor Training Approach. It begins with the Instructor Training Course combination, supported by immersive digital learning.
