In this refresher course, you’ll review and practice the diving skills from your Open Water Diver program under the guidance of an SSI Professional. React Right is SSI's emergency first responder course and provides the knowledge and practical skills to act as a first responder in a medical emergency. In this flexible course, you can choose your subject areas, such as initial assessment, first aid, CPR and stabilization techniques. You will learn more about administering emergency oxygen and using the defibrillator (AED). With a combination of theory and practical exercise scenarios, this course will give you important tools and the confidence to provide emergency assistance. Once certified, you will be able to act as a first aider, administer first aid and CPR, administer oxygen and provide AED support. As a deep diver, you have the unique opportunity to discover some of the world’s best dive sites and the most popular marine life. There is so much waiting for you in the deep blue sea. Through a balanced combination of classroom sessions and open-water dives, the SSI Deep Diving Specialty course will teach you everything you need to know for dives between 18 and 40 meters. You’ll learn how to plan and conduct your deep-diving adventures safely and how to get the most out of your deep dives using dive computers and gas consumption calculations. Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification and can explore the most beautiful deep dive sites wherever you want. This SSI Specialty is also a prerequisite for other advanced training courses, making it the next logical step in your diving education.

Swimming and snorkeling are great ways to get in shape for diving and to strengthen your musculoskeletal system. You’ll learn how to optimize your fin strokes and techniques that allow for more efficient and energy-saving propulsion.You’ll do some breathing exercises and further develop your apnea skills. The SSI Science of Diving Specialty course provides you with a comprehensive understanding of the underwater world and its effects on the human body. The course serves as the foundation for most SSI Professional courses as well as for some Extended Range courses and is an essential component for deepening your diving expertise. You can earn your SSI Science of Diving Specialty certification online from home. Upon completing the course, you’ll be halfway to earning the coveted SSI Divemaster certification and will receive your Science of Diving certification.
