What is the Divemaster at AquaTao? The Divemaster is a 4 to 6-week training course that qualifies you to become a Divemaster. Once your diploma has been validated, you'll be able to lead a group of snorkelers or certified divers. You'll be able to manage the various stages of the day's organization, as well as providing safe, supervised support at sea. This course can be defined by several key words: SUPPORT - SUPERVISION - CONTROL - SAFETY - REACTIVITY - INTERVENTION AquaTao's Divemaster objectives This course is very comprehensive, as it is based on the development of your personal and professional skills. Personal objectives Develop an exemplary attitude and professional behavior Be proactive and take the initiative Share good values (honesty, respect) Be proactive Professional objectives Lead a group of people Acquire theoretical and technical diving knowledge Manage logistics and activity organization Identify risk, anticipate and prevent possible problems Solve various problems using accident management scenarios When we talk about problems, we're referring to the various situations that can arise at sea. Knowing how to identify and anticipate scenarios is an essential skill to acquire if you want to lead a group safely. Once you've been trained, it's only your expertise that will enable you to make the right decisions and choices for the group you're managing. Prerequisites for the Divemaster certification: Open Water - Deep - Nitrox - Night - Navigation - React Right - Stress&Rescue Must have logged a minimum of 40 dives Must be 18 years old Medical certificate for scuba diving Minimum diving equipment : Computer, compass, parachute, mask, slate
