★★★★☆ King Cruiser
King Cruiser is rated as one of the best wreck dive sites in Asia, certainly Thailand. Having sank on May 4th in 1997 this is an amazing wreck dive sitting at over 30m, the top of the wreck is now around 18m. Suitable for Advanced and technical divers. Large Schools of fish and beautiful coral.
★★★★☆ Racha Yai, Homerun Reef
Homerun Reef is just north of Bay 1. A good alternative to the wrecks and concrete cubes around the main part of the bay. There is a small speedboat wreck at around 23m, just off the main reef. This is a good site for drift diving. It’s mostly large rocks, rubble and hard corals. Diving depth is 10-25 meters.
★★★★☆ Racha Yai, Bungalow Bay
Bungalow Bay is a calm dive site and very good for beginners, try scuba, and open water students. Depth ranges from 5-20 meters. There is no current or waves. An artificial reef is built here as well.
★★★★☆ Shark Point
Shark Point is one of Phuket’s most popular dive sites. The three pinnacles of the Shark Point break the surface in a small area. The rest is submerged and covered in soft and hard corals. This is a great drift dive. You can frequently spot leopard sharks and bamboo sharks here, hence the name.
★★★★☆ Koh Doc Mai
Dock Mai Island is an island headed southeast from Phuket. You can dive on the east and west sides of the island. Depths are around 30 meters, and it is a wall dive all along the island. There are two large and one small cave on the east side at depths of 22M and 18M.
★★★★☆ Racha Noi, Manta Reef
From Phuket to reach Racha Noi takes about a 2 hour boat ride. On the east coast the first part of the island Racha Noi is a dive site named Manta Reef. It is more or less a wall dive with a depth up to around 22 meters. The wall is fully covered with different corals.
★★★★☆ Anemone Reef
Super divesite with plenty of fish. This submerged pinnacle is completely covered in softcorals and anemones and home to a great variety of species.
★★★★☆ North Point
As the name suggests, North Point is the northernmost dive site in the Similan Islands, located on the north side of Island 9. The terrain is varied, with massive granite overlaps forming large walls, channels, and swim-throughs.
★★★★☆ Koh Bida Nai
One of many dive sites at Phi Phi islands. Small rocky island south from Phi Phi Lee. Diving depht starts at 5 meters and goes to 30 meters plus. This site lies just to the north of Koh Bida Nok and is made of limestone cliffs hosting a large array of marine life.
★★★★☆ Three Trees
This point is located northeast of the 9th island in the Similan Islands. It is named after the three large trees that are used to mark the entry, from a shallow depth of about 5 meters to a reef slope of about 18 meters, beyond which there is a pure white sandy area dotted with isolated roots. Offshore, there are beautiful rocky areas with schools of soft corals, where you can see large fish. Because the tide splits on the island, the tide is clear and you can enjoy drift dives when the tide is strong.
★★★★☆ Elephant Head Rock
Located in the middle of the sea between islands 7 and 8 in the Similan Islands, this reef dive site stands out in the middle of the sea. It was named after the shape of the rock sticking out of the water, which resembles the head of an elephant. The point is made up of huge layers of granite, dotted with numerous channels and swim-throughs that create a mystical landscape. The tide is good, and you can expect the feeding scene of the crabs, sharks and big fish in the early morning. In the shallow water, you can often find oversized trevally targeting small fish. This is one of the most dynamic dive sites in the Similan Islands.
★★★★☆ Deep Six
Located at the north end of the 7th island in the Similan Islands, this dive site is along the northern apex of an elongated island from north to south. Visibility is clear and the granite boulders, eroded by the tidal currents, form several steps from the bottom.
★★★★☆ Turtle Rock
The dive site Turtle Rock is located on the west side of island no. 8, Koh Similan. The dive site owes its name to a granite rock that looks like a turtle.
★★★★☆ Donald Duck Bay
An easy dive site on Island 8. You can dive in or out of the bay through a channel. You can only dive with little current, otherwise, you can only dive one way as a drift dive. In the shallow area it is very rocky then gets sandy in the deeper depths.
★★★★☆ Whaleback Rock
Whaleback Rock Bay, Similan Islands, offers a more sheltered dive experience than the pinnacle. It features a sloping reef with sand patches and scattered coral bommies. This area provides calmer conditions, making it suitable for a more relaxed dive or when currents are strong elsewhere.
