The Bugalet wreck is a 57-metre ammunition-carrying landing barge that sank in 1946, east of the Quiberon peninsula. Preserved from storms, the ship has retained its entire structure at a depth of 15 meters.
A recently discovered site, a bit special, “in the middle of nowhere”, consisting of large scattered rocks sheltering a fauna similar to that seen on the wrecks in the area.
Next to the island of Téviec, an important Mesolithic archaeological site, the Guernic rock offers superb diving for underwater biology enthusiasts and beginners alike.
Rock on the Côte Sauvage with a fault. At high tide, it is possible to enter a cave beneath this fault. With daylight still visible, the atmosphere delights many divers. Further west, a second cave, a little darker but just as spectacular.
In 240, 3.3 nautical miles from the Port de Portivy, lies the Nann Smith, a Norwegian cargo ship carrying iron ore, at a depth of 24m. She sank in 1917, hit by a floating mine. Lying on the seabed, the boilers rise 4 to 5m and the ship’s structure is still clearly visible.
