★★★★☆ Shaab Samadai / Dolphin House

Shoaab Samaday, also known as Dolphin House, is a protected area by the Egyptian environment authorities. The crescent formation of the reef and shallow water has, over the time, attracted bottlenose dolphins to use it as a rest location. This dive is perfect for entry level divers and snorkelers alike.

★★★★☆ Elphinstone Reef

This is one of the most famous dive site in Egypt. The Elphinstone Reef is full of healthy corals, magnificent clear blue water, and rich marine life. It is also a great destination to see your first shark.

★★★★☆ Sha’ab Marsa Alam

Dive site is 10min by boat from Marsa Alam marina. The perfect place for a drift dive around the reef. Nice, colorful coral all around plus a small, old wreck to explore.

★★★★☆ Elphinstone South

Elphinstone South is an amazing off-shore reef dive and preferred by many as an afternoon dive due to the fantastic lighting. The dive slopes down from 18m deep to the deepest top of the plateau at 40m.

★★★★☆ Marsa Assalaya

Well protected bay with entry from the beach, both sides of the bay with a beautiful and colorful reef. In the middle of the bay, there is a big area with seagrass.

★★★★☆ Elphinstone North

Located 30km from Marsa Alam, Elphinstone North is one of the main dive sites in this area with lots of sharks and some of the most healthy coral reefs in the region. It is a 90 minute boat ride to reach, however definitely worth the trip!

★★★★☆ Abu Saile

An amazing dive site that is approx. 50 min away from Port Ghalib Marina offering daily boats. This dive site is suitable for all diver levels. You will see beautiful hard corals in the shallow areas. The shore can be accessed through the hole in the reef top.

★★★★★ Marsa Tondoba

Access to the dive site is only from a boat or zodiac. The bottom is sandy with a lot of coral blocks and pinnacles all covered with amazingly colourful soft corals.

★★★★☆ Marsa Egla

A great shore dive that is located 11km from Marsa Alam. There is easy access to the water in a bay format, suitable for entry level and experienced divers alike. The reef extends to the north and to the south where the bay divides; you can decide which direction to go...they are both good dives.

Located about 5 kilometers off the coast of Marsa Alam, the northwest side of Shaab Nakari offers beautiful wall diving. The rest of the reef is typical Red Sea coral reef with the usual residents. On the west side there is a sandy bottom at 15-25 meters/ 45-75 ft

Access to this dive site is from a zodiac. This site has one big coral block with colourful soft and hard corals, surrounded by small corals blocks and pinnacles.

Mares

★★★★☆ Umm El Ros/Marsa Mubarak

Umm El Ros is one of the most well known dive sites in the port Ghalib area and only a 15 minute ride away from the marina. A natural bay formation keeps this site protected. A beautiful dive can be conducted from 1m depth through a sandy bottom to the northern reef or to the southern pinnacles.
