Dive With Jimmy was born through founder James Soos’s love for all things underwater, informed by a military background and an adventurous spirit. After initially learning to dive while serving in the British Army in Cyprus, James continuously advanced his diving career progressing from a recreational diver to a technical instructor. The centre was created with a vision to inspire divers through outstanding training, always emphasising safety and enjoyment. Since its inception, Dive With Jimmy has become Bedfordshire’s premier scuba diving centre, offering accessible, award-winning courses under BSAC and SSI, and supporting divers from their first breath underwater to advanced technical expeditions.

What sets Dive With Jimmy apart from competitors is a commitment to quality over quantity. The centre runs small, focused classes—typically four students per instructor for recreational courses, and just two for technical sessions. Even private courses for individual students are available. Another unique offering is the integration of specialty courses (including Enriched Air Nitrox) as part of standard open water programs, enhancing skills and safety from the outset. Dive With Jimmy is not only about diving skills—it fosters a strong sense of community through pool nights, a flexible membership scheme, and a supportive learning atmosphere where every diver’s journey is respected and encouraged.

The Dive With Jimmy team is united by a proactive approach to practical learning and customer success. With decades of collective diving experience, instructors ensure students are not only certified but are confident, knowledgeable, and genuinely enjoying their journey. The team’s hands-on support covers every aspect of the diving experience: from understanding individual goals, to carefully guiding equipment purchase decisions. Divers can try equipment during sessions and benefit from expert in-store advice, building trust and competence. This philosophy extends to ongoing support, with trial sessions, equipment hire, and feedback ensuring divers invest wisely in gear that genuinely suits their needs.

Whether a customer is taking their first plunge or advancing into the technical depths, they can trust Dive With Jimmy for unwavering professionalism, equipment reliability, friendly guidance, and a commitment to making scuba diving a source of real joy.
