10 minutes distance from the harbour, we find a small reef: on a yellow sandy bottom. Starting at 5 meters, to a maximum depth of 10 mts, we dive along the isolated blocks of reef between the sand , looking for small holes were we can spot nurse sharks, rays, turtles and a lots of morey eals..
At Porto Novo Harbor we have a muck dive. It´s a shore dive with easy entrance, also for night dives , where you can spot a lot of marine life, almost impossible to find during the day dives. Normally the main goal is to find frogfish , between all tyspes of trash, from plastic bottles to fish lines....
In the outside of the harbor , it´s the artificial pier. We start on the begining of the pier , a sandy bottom with all the artificial rocky part on the right until the entry of the harbor nearby the ferry dock zone. All the marine life is hiden between the rocks, so it can be useful a torch to look for the holes.
Big cavern with sandy bottom, dive start at the deepest entrance and during all time is passed exploring all small holes inside the cavern, looking for species. There is 2 other entrances on the shallow part. Cavern ceiling all cover with yellow coral polips. Normally big schools of fish from one entrance to other
35 Minuter Northeast of Porto Novo, we find “secret“ . Its a sandy bottom slop ,with all the rocky part on your right. Deepest part around 30 meters, and average dept around 15 meters. A lot of small holes full of marine life. We finsih the dive in a isolated rock, usally with turtles livin there.
Very calm and relax dive starting form praia do vulção , sandy platform under the boat, go along, the reef looking for small creatures. Your objective is to look into the reef small holes and creviches, trying to discover rare animals, nice dive for macro photographers/lovers. Avg depth 8 m ; maximum depth 12m.
Very calm dive. We start on a bay ,in a bottom full of small rocks, all rocky part on the left hand, with sandy part on the right. We go along the rocky part, start going up near the coast, exploring the small holes were we can find several species. We end the dive in a isoletd rock under the boat at 5 mts.
Small islet isolated near Janela in the north part of the island. We start in the most proteted part in the western point of the islet, and dive with the rocky part on our left, until we reach the end of the islet around 40 meters. A lot of marine life moving around the reef, and an eye in the blue is a mandatory.
