he SSI Drysuit Diving Specialty course is a 1-day course that consists of academic sessions, pool work, and open water dives. The academic sessions will cover the theory of drysuit diving, including the physics of Boyle's Law and its implications for diving at altitude. You will also learn about the different types of drysuits and how to choose the right one for you.The pool work will give you a chance to practice using your drysuit in a controlled environment. You will learn how to don and doff your drysuit, as well as how to perform basic buoyancy control skills. The SSI Deep Diving Specialty will teach you all you need to dive to depths between 18 and 40 meters, through a mixture of academic sessions and open water dives.You will learn to plan and safely complete your deep diving adventures and use computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most from your deep dives.Upon completion, you will earn your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification and be able to explore beautiful deep dive sites wherever you choose. This SSI Specialty is also a prerequisite for some advanced training, making it the next logical step to take in your dive education.We will do one deep dive from shore, then go out on the Beachhopper and do two deep dives. We try to go 80 feet or more for our deep dive course. The Beachhopper is $140.00 for a two tank dive.

Reef Divers takes the work out of your diving—handling the heavy lifting and care of your boat-dive gear, from your first dive with us through your last dive (unless you’d prefer to do it yourself). We rinse, dry, and store your BCD and regulator daily, so they’re set up and ready for your next day’s diving. The only finger you’ll have to lift is the one to point out your gear as you relax in the boat, ready to go diving.
