Just under 15 minutes by boat from Port Leucate, the Rochers de la Sorcière (Witch's Rocks) are a fine example of Mediterranean fauna. The name comes from the profile of a witch's head that can be seen on the Leucate cliff when you're on site.
La Faille at Cap Leucate is a unique dive site with an underwater fault reaching a depth of 25 m. Recommended for intermediate to advanced divers.
Anse of Paradise at La Franqui is a popular dive site for its clear, shallow waters, ideal for beginners.
Substantial rocky plateau with a maximum depth of 10 to 12 metres. Height of relief between 30cm and 1m20. Situated opposite the two towers visible from the Leucate cliffs.
In the port city of Port-la-Nouvelle, it's known as the "Japanese". This is the sad story of the Shigizan Maru, which became one of the many wrecks in the Mediterranean, built in the Netherlands and ended its life off the coast of Aude, between La Nouvelle and La Franqui.
