Shoni Bay is about 25 kilometers from Marsa Alam Airport. A beautiful bay with one of the best house reefs in southern Egypt, with shore diving in close proximity to our dive center.
The newly renovated ORCA Dive Club Shoni Bay is a short walk from the hotel. The center has complete diving equipment in all sizes, diving tanks, equipment rooms, sinks, showers, toilets, training room, shop and office. As in other ORCA Dive Clubs, 12- and 15-liter aluminum tanks, as well as 8- and 10-liter tanks for sidemount and children are available. Powerful compressors ensure sufficient air and nitrox.
House reef, diving boats and dive sites ORCA Dive Club Shoni Bay not only offers its guests the wonderful house reef with direct access from the shore, but also Zodiac trips directly from the on the beach located jetty. Furthermore, day trips by boat to Elphinstone, Shaab Samadei and Shaab Marsa Alam. Trips by minibus and pickup to nearby shore dive sites are also on our dive schedule, such as the wonderful Abu Dabab Bay, where there is a good chance of seeing dugongs, large turtles and guitar sharks, and of course the Abu Dabour house reef at the nearby ORCA Dive Club Concorde Moreen beach
Narrow entrance with a sandy bottom. Nice coral. A good dive site to make drift dives from the zodiac on the North Anemone City. Good for experienced and beginner divers.
The entrance to the dive site is from the jetty. There is a coral wall until 12m and then a sandy bottom with few coral gardens dropping to 40m. Beautiful hard corals.
The nearby jetty can be used to enter this dive or you can enter from the shore through a very nice small canyon leading you to the clear blue water. This dive starts with a sloping sand bottom where you can choose to head to the north or south reef.
This is one of the most famous dive site in Egypt. The Elphinstone Reef is full of healthy corals, magnificent clear blue water, and rich marine life. It is also a great destination to see your first shark.
The dive site is located approx. 70km south of Marsa Alam and is a shallow dive from 5m to 25m with easy access from shore over the sand to the shipwreck that lays at 16m /17m deep. This dive is suitable for entry level divers, however, in rough conditions, visibility might not be the best.
Shoaab Samaday, also known as Dolphin House, is a protected area by the Egyptian environment authorities. The crescent formation of the reef and shallow water has, over the time, attracted bottlenose dolphins to use it as a rest location. This dive is perfect for entry level divers and snorkelers alike.
Dive site is 10min by boat from Marsa Alam marina. The perfect place for a drift dive around the reef. Nice, colorful coral all around plus a small, old wreck to explore.
Elphinstone South is an amazing off-shore reef dive and preferred by many as an afternoon dive due to the fantastic lighting. The dive slopes down from 18m deep to the deepest top of the plateau at 40m.
