The most beautiful coral reefs in southern Egypt near the border with Sudan. The destination of this expedition is the world famous St. John's Reef, located almost off the Sudanese coast, approximately 20km from Zabargad. There are 5 main reefs spread over 14 square miles, forming a beautiful underwater landscape ranging from beautiful coral gardens to walls that drop to depths of several hundred feet with a huge variety of corals and abundant underwater life. Along the way you will also visit other sites such as Sha'ab Aiman - a marine reserve guarded by whitetip sharks, Dolphin Reef - famous for its large dolphin population, Sha'ab Mahrus and Sha'ab Shrab - famous rock walls hiding many caves with the possibility of seeing grey, whitetip and hammerhead sharks, Claudia reef - a cave labyrinth. The ship departs from Marsa Alam and already on the way to St. John's Islands we visit amazing sites. We will dive in areas where there is a great abundance of dolphins, swim-through caves and living coral gardens. On St. John's itself, we'll have the chance to spot sharks, the walls covered in soft corals that provide shelter for small and larger fish. The Brothers are two small islands off the east coast of Egypt (about 6 hours).This track can be accessed from either Hurghada or Marsa Alam. Daedalus is a large island about 2km square about 11 hours by boat south below the Brothers Islands. The Little and Big Brothers is characterized by steep walls that drop to great depths. The reefs here are covered with huge Gorgonians, soft corals and amazing colonies of black corals. In the shallower waters there are large schools of bearded, chamber, thornback, snapper and barracuda.At greater depths you can see lagoon sharks, reef sharks, fox sharks and, with luck, hammerheads and whale sharks. In addition to the rich fauna and flora along the reef walls, there will be the opportunity to see the wreck of the cargo ship Numidia at depths of 8 to 80 metres or the remains of the transport ship Aida II.
