In front of the area of Tauch-Sport-Vienna and the shore the bottom is slightly sloping, which leads to a platform at 5m (heading east) and to a Neptune figure and a 2m-long shark made of plastic at about 7m. From the platform at 5m lines lead to a platform at 10m (heading south) and 20m (heading east).
This site is a former gravel pit near Bratislava near Rovinka. Velke Košariská is interesting mainly because of its depth and mostly excellent visibility.
The artificial lake (lignite was mined here) near Vienna offers many training opportunities for beginners and advanced divers, especially at the TB Lorenc entrance; currently 2 5, 2 8, 12 and 20 meter platforms, 2 buoyancy tubes and many new sights sunk by dedicated divers.
At the entrance you will find a small sailing dinghy at a depth of 12-14m. From here, toward the left, you will reach two vertical trees at 18m after a few minutes. This is the so-called Twin Towers.
The lake is privately owned, therefore no public access is possible and diving is only possible by appointment with H2O Divingacademy (by mail or phone.).
Attention: Diveable from May to the end of September with proof of dive card. Max depth id 33m. Shore structure is shallowly sloping with mostly good visibility and some tree trunks to see.
The dive site Föttinger is a great dive site for all levels with many platforms. In total there are 13 platforms between 5 - 40 meters. Additionally, there is a buoyancy cage and a statue made of cylinders at the dive site.
The overgrown rock formation in front of the base stretches from 5 m to a depth of 37 m. Excellent practice site for students in the closed off area. Can be dived until 11:15 in high season for safety reasons, as there is increased boat traffic (outside the barrier) after this time.
János Molnár is a vast underground cave, located right under Budapest. The depth of the cave is approximately 100m and the width is 3km. The cave is made out of thermal karst springs, spewing from the depths and it is one of tje biggest thermal caves in the world. The tepmerature of water fluctuates between 25-27°C.
After the beer factory stopped pumping, groundwater levels raised and partly flooded the underground mine system where you can now dive. The water is crystal clear and visibility is awesome.
The Attersee is one of the most beautiful diving lakes in the Alpine region. With its numerous, well-signposted dive sites, it is suitable for beginners and advanced divers and offers everything from shallow to deep diving.
Access is possible via stairs with a handrail. Most interesting is the area to the right of the entrance, here after approx. 3 minutes from a depth of 10 meters you get to the steep wall that drops to approx. 70 meters. Dive site should only be dived by well trained and cold water experienced divers.
