On the southern shore of Lake Murner See, a former open-cast lignite mine, you will find the entrance “Slide.“ At about 5 m a metal material slide begins, which goes down to a depth of about 40 m. In the shallow area there is also a beautiful underwater forest. The acidic water provides mostly good visibility.
At the northern shore of the Murner See, a former brown coal open pit mine, you will find the entrance “Holzturm“ / “Aussichtsturm.“ After the entrance on the left, you will find a 20 m stepped mining platform with many, small “sights“ above 10 m. From the entrance straight ahead a rope leads into the depth.
The dive site ÖWR Hausboot is a rather shallow dive site, but there is a lot to see, such as a houseboat, pile dwellings, as well as various sailboats.
An excellent dive on Attersee with max depth of 30m. The shore structure is a sloping bottom with a platform at 5m. At 8 meters there is a covered pile dwelling, a speedboat wreck at 22m, jetty at 17m, and an air-filled bathtub.
The Echinger Weiher is an artificially created Baggersee in the north of Munich. With a size of about 100 x 250m and a maximum depth of 8m it is suitable for training and practice dives. The lake is located in a nature reserve. Please note: a diving license must be purchased in advance!
Kreide-See is a well known and popular diving lake. In former times chalk was mined here. The roads, the vibrator, trucks, conveyor belts, and some machines that were needed for the mining can still be visited underwater.
The dive site is located directly in the Europabad. (Access only possible when the lido is open) WC & bathing buffet open in summer in good weather. There is also a small diving center (Scuba Consult) with filling possibility. (normally only open at weekends and in summer)
There are 3 menhirs to dive, the bigger one starts at 18m and reaches a depth of 32m. Suitable for advanced divers. Since 2018, three life-size wooden figures have been built around the menhirs as part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
