
Gray Quarry is a 501-c3 non-profit organization that seeks to promote the sport of scuba diving by providing a safe family-friendly fun environment for recreational scuba diving and training. All money from dive entry fees goes to maintaining the quarry and making dive site improvements.
This site provides something for divers of all levels. While there are numerous sunken boats, the main attraction is the Chinese Junk imported decades ago and after multiple sinkings finally came to reset here. Other entertaining sites here include vending machines, tic-tac-toe table, and Halloween cemetery.
American Quarry is the flagship quarry for the PDRA. (Piedmont Diving Rescue Association). The Quarry is 65’ deep at the pit with many objects to dive on.
This is a great place to extend your diving because of the warmer water in the wintertime, also making this a great place to do Open Water training in the winter.
The Georgia Aquarium is one of the most renowned aquariums in the United States located in Atlanta, Georgia. This aquarium displays hundreds of different animal species amongst seven themed galleries.
We’re not just another quarry. We are a Dive Facility. We are located 6 miles off Interstate 85 in Thomasville, North Carolina. Blue Stone has a full service Dive center equipped with one of the most modern computer analyzed air fill station with a storage capacity of 80,000 cubic feet.
Lake Jocassee is a man-made lake. The lake is over 360 feet deep with visibility ranging from 20 feet to over 50 feet at depth. There are several ramps here, one is set aside for divers and there is enough to keep divers coming back again and again.
The Cooper River... offers divers the unique experience of searching the bottom of the river for giant megalodon fossilized shark teeth, whale fossils, mastodon fossils and many other fossils. There is also a great opportunity here for the treasure hunters searching for Indian artifacts, Colonial artifacts, etc.
