It offers a great wall drift dive finishing with a coral garden plateau and stunning coral reef with lots of marine life of varying types. ORCA DIVE CLUB SOMA BAY, Soma Bay Gamul Kebir (★4.3) Short driving time of approx. 25 minutes and can be approached even in strong winds. Shallow reef (max 16m) with great lighting conditions. Apart from the channel, there is little to no current. Aqualung The Breakers House Reef South, Soma Bay (★4.4) Housereef, directly in front of the dive center, very easy to reach with shuttle and great helpful staff. A little windy and also swell belong here with changing currents. Mares, Janez Kranjc Abu Dabab I (★4.3) Beautiful coral garden, many coral blocks with amazingly colorful soft corals. Few little caves with beautiful light inside them. Approachable with boat or zodiac. Rainer G. (#2534580) Zerib Kebir (★4.5) A beautiful dive site with a lot of canyons inside the reef and small caves. The entrance is from the sandy shore. Amazingly colorful coral gardens and rich in marine life are found here. Mares Middle Reef Safaga (★4.4) Approx. 90-minute boat ride but worth the trip. From 5 to over 40m deep everything available to see. This is a nice dive site for one way drift dives. Many blocks form a kind of fun labyrinth. iStock-MaRabelo Shark & Yolanda Reef (★4.6) The most famous site in Ras Mohammed. There are many ways to dive the site so there is something for everyone here. Shark Reef, Yolanda Reef, and Satellite Reef make up the 3 pinnacles. On Yolanda Reef you can find toilets and a mast laying around from the sunken Yolanda wreck. Mares Umm El Ros/Marsa Mubarak (★4.3) Umm El Ros is one of the most well known dive sites in the port Ghalib area and only a 15 minute ride away from the marina. A natural bay formation keeps this site protected. A beautiful dive can be conducted from 1m depth through a sandy bottom to the northern reef or to the southern pinnacles. Aqualung Amphoras (★4.3) This dive site gets it’s name from the old amphoras remains that can be found here. It is an easy dive with a sandy plateau, pinnacles, and coral blocks. Aqualung Three Corners Equinox House Reef (★4.2) Large, shallow bay with a seagrass meadow. You have the option of diving along the reef, walking through the seagrass meadow, or even both.Easy entry from the beach.Beautiful coral blocks and lettuce corals. SCUBA NOSY BE, 207 HELL VILLE Grand Banc Extérieur (★4.4) Site close to shark point, 20m-40m drop off, to be done only in rising tide. Site located at 50mn from the center, 21km, beautiful drop off, rich in fish. Juergen F. (#3034408) Sha’ab Claudio (★4.5) Claudio Reef is the most high light Reef in Fury Shoals, it contains of 2 small reefs and the south reef has 2 fantastic large caves. The caves are not completely covered, from above there are holes and light passes in. The caves are in shallow water. Whitetip Divers, 00000 PRASLIN Channel Rock (★4.2) Located to the east of Praslin island, halfway to La Digue, Approximately 15-25 mins boat ride depending on the weather conditions. It is a submerged granite reef known as channel rock. The average depth ranges between 10-25metres. At low tide the pinnacle of the tallest boulder just breaks the surface. Mares The Alternatives (★4.3) This is a very interesting dive site, different pinnacles are lined up over a drop-off. The first of these pinnacles is called “Stingray Station.“ This dive is suitable for every level of diver and also snorkelers. SSI Service Center Egypt, Hurghada Marsa Abu Dabab (★4.4) Abu Dabab North is a significant dive site located in the Marsa Alam zone with very easy access from the shore. This site is suitable for all diver levels and snorkelers as well. It can be easily accessed from boat and shore (boats can only access the site from outside the bay). BLUE SEA DIVERS, MAHE Marianne (★4.5) This site is beautiful with granite islands and depths from 12 to 25 meters. This is usually a drift dive with lots of black and white tip sharks, and many fun passages. Dive One Academy, Sharm El Sheikh Shark Observatory (★4.4) This site is suitable for advanced divers. You can access this site by boat or you can get to it by swimming through a hole in the reef to access it from the shore. This dive is home to a beautiful wall covered with soft corals and many shelters. Currents can sometimes be a bit tricky here. Eduardo M. (#3068167) Ras Abu Soma (★4.4) The Somabay headland forms the northern end of Safaga Bay. The “Ras“ (head), is a steep wall that ends in the south on a 25m deep plateau, main current direction is coming from the north. On the plateau you can find ancient table corals up to 4m in size, and a steep wall. ORCA DIVE CLUB Paradisio, El Gouna Carless Reef (★4.5) About 2 hours southeast of El Gouna is one of the most beautiful reefs of El Gouna. Since the reef is located in the open sea, there are often strong currents. This gives the possibility for many predators to inhabit the reef and corals, due to the great living conditions. Dive One Academy, Sharm El Sheikh Marsa Baryka (★4.4) This dive site sits in the bay of Mersa Bareika and is scattered with colorful coral heads that stretch all around the area and flourish with high and low tide, giving a diverse array of marine life. (#2837383) Ras Torombi (★4.1) At the entry point, there are several coral blocks ranging from 8 to 15 meters in depth, reaching almost to the surface.A beautiful coral garden with soft and hard corals. Extra Divers El Quseir, El Quseir El Quadim (★4.5) The El Quadim house reef is located directly in the bay of the Mövenpick Hotel El Quseir and has an eventful past with its 5000 years of history (originally the oldest trading port in Egypt, the old amphorae & anchor). Very easy to dive with a large bay of 4 m depth with a north and south side and a deeper area. Mares Abu Dabab Garden (★4.3) Fringing reef with beautiful corrals and lots of colorful fish. Reef is in very good condition. Depth varies from 5 to 30m. Specialty of Abu Dabbab Garden is the area around the jetty where a small and a big lagoon, canyons and caves can be found. Mares Ras Abdallah (★4.2) 25 minutes boat ride north of Makadi Bay. Fringing reef along the coast. Reef slope down to 15m depth - plateau down to 22m depth. Steep slope down to about 70m depth. Often light to medium current from the north. Diving is on the outside of the steep slope into the shallow area. Peter S. (#417559) Daedalus Reef (★4.3) Deadalus Reef can only be reached by Liveaboard boats and is one of the top dive sites on most diver’s wish list. A stand alone 400m long reef approx. 80km away from Marsa Alam, this spectacular reef is difficult to miss as it even has its own lighthouse. Aqualung Abu Dabab IV (★4.3) Access to this dive site is from a zodiac. This site has one big coral block with colourful soft and hard corals, surrounded by small corals blocks and pinnacles. PLONGÉE SALÉE, 97427 ETANG-SALÉ La Pointe au Sel (★4.4) This is said to be THE dive of Réunion Island. Open water diving, often with a strong current. The drop-off starts at around 25 m and ends at over 60 m. Mares Port Ghalib Sand-Oasis (★4.1) Entry and exit is via the jetty. From here there are two options. Either head north or head south to the Palace. The dive to Palace is a one-way dive. Hans E. (#3545391) St. Johns, Gota Soraya (★4.3) Gota Soraya is rated as possibly one of the best wall dives in the Red Sea, with overhangs and cracks in the reef wall full of glass fish and sweepers and an abundance of corals, Grey Reef, Silvertips and Hammerhead sharks. Whitetip Divers, 00000 PRASLIN Coral Garden (★4.3) Coral Garden is situated 5-10 minutes away by boat from Praslin. A reef type of dive surrounded by soft and hard corals. Depth is around 10-15 meters. Dive One Academy, Sharm El Sheikh Jackfish Alley (★4.5) A comparatively shallow site that is good for a second or third dive, Jackfish Alley has two enormous caves filled with shoaling glassfish. Depth: 6m to 20m. Rating: intermediate. Access: boat. Marcus M. (#2724513) Marsa Assalaya (★4.3) Well protected bay with entry from the beach, both sides of the bay with a beautiful and colorful reef. In the middle of the bay, there is a big area with seagrass. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Abu Dabab V (★4.6) Access to this dive site is from a zodiac. Big and small coral blocks are found here with nice soft and hard corals. There are beautiful caves and open places with breathtaking light. Centrum Nurkowe Aqarium, 78-100 Kołobrzeg Gabr el Bint (★4.6) Gabr el Bint is located about 15km south of Dahab and is approached by day boat in about 50min. Drop Off with fan corals. Way back over a sandy lagoon with table corals, a reef plateau to end the dive, partly stronger current. Small cave at 26m. BLUE SEA DIVERS, MAHE Booby Island (★4.3) This island is located 20 minutes from Praslin by boat. Depths range from 10 to 30 meters. This is a fund dive sometimes with current and a lot of big passages to explore. Scubapro The Cave (★4.4) Also known as El Masduda, The Cave’s entrance, and exit is through 2 long canyons with closed and open spaces. The main route is marked with a rope. Outside the main reef, you will find many wonderful, small pinnacles with a depth of around 15-18 meters. ORCA DIVE CLUB Paradisio, El Gouna El Fanadir, North (★4.4) 1 hour to the south of El Gouna you can find the Fanadir reefs. It is a wall full of spectacular marine life. Above the wall is a plateau which is about 20m wide, then the wall drops off to over 70m deep. There is one big pinnacle full of glass fish and moray eels. Aqualung Kwarcit Wreck (Boris) (★4.3) Artificial reef deployed and created by Manta Diving Center in January 2006 under their project Rebuilding Nature. This is the very first artificial reef in the Cape Verde archipelago. Aqualung Sodfa (★4.2) This is an easy dive site suitable for every level of diver and also snorkelers. There’s a sandy plateau and at the drop off you can find shelters full of marine life. There are many coral blocks and pinnacles to explore. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Ras Nasrani (★4.5) Ras Nasrani is a beautiful coral reef that can be access with daily boat trips or from the jetty. Two dives can be conducted from the entry point, one is toward the land (inside the reef) and the other is outside the reef where a mild current might be encountered. Stephan M. (#1651629) Tobia Arbaa (★4.5) Tobia Arbaa is a popular dive site near Safaga and can be reached by speedboat or daily boat tour. The dive site contains five main pinnacles on a shallow sandy bottom and is suitable for entry level and advanced divers alike. Whitetip Divers, 00000 PRASLIN Scorpion Rock Praslin (★4.2) Located East of Praslin island and approximately 20-25mins by boat from the dive centre, time varies based on the weather conditions. Scopion rock is a gigantic granitic boulder, at low tide you can see the top of the boulder sticking out of the water. Depth ranges from 10-25 metres. Scubapro Bluff Point (Small Gubal island) (★4.4) One of the most beautiful wall / drop off dive sites in this area . Untouched coral reefs with both soft and hard coral. There is a current most of the time, therefore this is always drift dive. This site is recommended only for more experienced divers. BLUE SEA DIVERS, MAHE Shark Bank (★4.6) This is an advanced dive site due to its depth. The dive starts at 25 meters and goes down to 35 meters. It is located 25 minutes by boat from the dive center and is a great dive with a lot of underwater life. Jerome C. (#3701811) Fayrouz Hous Reef North (★4.2) The house reef is easily accessible from the Extra Divers Fayrouz dive center via a jetty.The north side features a reef wall with many hard and soft corals, as well as two coral blocks. PLONGÉE SALÉE, 97427 ETANG-SALÉ Ali Baba (★4.4) Come and discover this beautiful arch in 35m of water. Be curious and look up under the arch to observe the lobsters. At the entrance to the arch, you can admire the magnificent gorgonian sea fan and its falcon fish. PLONGÉE SALÉE, 97427 ETANG-SALÉ Sec Jaune (★4.6) The sec jaune is one of the dives where you have to be curious, especially on the plateau when the swell allows it, as the mimicry of the fish is incredible.
