Starting with a sloping sandy bottom, a dive to the north and the south sides can be conducted. Yoeri D. (#3526102) Small Giftun / Police Station (★4.4) One of the famous dive sites in Hurghada is Small Giftun Drift, also known as the Polics Station. It offers a great wall drift dive finishing with a coral garden plateau and stunning coral reef with lots of marine life of varying types. ORCA DIVE CLUB SOMA BAY, Soma Bay Gamul Kebir (★4.3) Short driving time of approx. 25 minutes and can be approached even in strong winds. Shallow reef (max 16m) with great lighting conditions. Apart from the channel, there is little to no current. Aqualung The Breakers House Reef South, Soma Bay (★4.4) Housereef, directly in front of the dive center, very easy to reach with shuttle and great helpful staff. A little windy and also swell belong here with changing currents. Mares, Janez Kranjc Abu Dabab I (★4.3) Beautiful coral garden, many coral blocks with amazingly colorful soft corals. Few little caves with beautiful light inside them. Approachable with boat or zodiac. Mares Marsa Mourain (★4.2) The entrance is a sandy corridor between the rocks equipped with a rope. This makes the entrance and exit easier in case of a strong current. Both sides of the sandy bay are covered with beautiful reefs with corners. You will find colorful soft and hard corals. Rainer G. (#2534580) Zerib Kebir (★4.5) A beautiful dive site with a lot of canyons inside the reef and small caves. The entrance is from the sandy shore. Amazingly colorful coral gardens and rich in marine life are found here. Mares Middle Reef Safaga (★4.4) Approx. 90-minute boat ride but worth the trip. From 5 to over 40m deep everything available to see. This is a nice dive site for one way drift dives. Many blocks form a kind of fun labyrinth. iStock-MaRabelo Shark & Yolanda Reef (★4.6) The most famous site in Ras Mohammed. There are many ways to dive the site so there is something for everyone here. Shark Reef, Yolanda Reef, and Satellite Reef make up the 3 pinnacles. On Yolanda Reef you can find toilets and a mast laying around from the sunken Yolanda wreck. Jens L. (#2147483) Maheleg (★4.4) Dive Site: Quiet bay with lots of corals and a wall. Entry over the reef top. Max depth: 30 metersTravel time: Approximately 35 minutes by minibus north. BLUE SEA DIVERS, MAHE Light House (★4.2) A great dive from 10 to 37 meters deep with lots of fish and pelagics passing by. Hang out on the plateau at 15 meters and you can possibly see sharks. Mares Umm El Ros/Marsa Mubarak (★4.3) Umm El Ros is one of the most well known dive sites in the port Ghalib area and only a 15 minute ride away from the marina. A natural bay formation keeps this site protected. A beautiful dive can be conducted from 1m depth through a sandy bottom to the northern reef or to the southern pinnacles. Aqualung Three Corners Equinox House Reef (★4.2) Large, shallow bay with a seagrass meadow. You have the option of diving along the reef, walking through the seagrass meadow, or even both.Easy entry from the beach.Beautiful coral blocks and lettuce corals. ORCA DIVE CLUB Paradisio, El Gouna El Sakhwa (★4.3) This dive is about 1 hour south of El Gouna. The mooring lines are located on the inside of the small bay. From the bay is a wall going outside till you reach some nice reef blocks in the shallows where you will find a drop off going down to 40m. There you can find a small canyon. Mares Mashraba (★4.5) A sandy bottom, followed by seagrass, then an artificial underwater museum and finally a wall drop-off. This dive site offers it all, very popular with underwater photography enthusiasts and accessible for beginners and advanced divers alike. Aqualung Abu Talha (★4.7) 15min drive north. Shallowly sloping coral garden with pinnacles, which, when dived north, turns into a sandy slope with table corals. In the shallow area especially beautiful due to massive hard coral blocks.Entrance over the reef top, therefore only diveable at high tide and little wind. Aqualung Lost Anchor (Anchora, White Reef) (★4.3) When the current goes out of Santa Maria Bay, this is a great way to experience the Lost Anchor and Farol dive sites as a drift dive. On 3 depth levels you can experience lots of underwater creatures. SSI Service Center Egypt, Hurghada Marsa Abu Dabab (★4.4) Abu Dabab North is a significant dive site located in the Marsa Alam zone with very easy access from the shore. This site is suitable for all diver levels and snorkelers as well. It can be easily accessed from boat and shore (boats can only access the site from outside the bay). Scubapro, Stephen Frink Kichwani (★4.4) Kichwani is the most popular dive site in Mnemba. It is formed by a big coral reef that starts from the surface and goes to 30 meters depth. The reef is formed by a good mixture of hard and soft corals of different colors. Don’t miss the glassfish shelter at 25 meters! Mares, Janez Kranjc Mnemba Sandbanks (★4.3) This place is formed by a coral reef that, from the surface, decreases very gently in the water. The environment is formed by many species of hard corals of different shapes and colors. Aqualung Turtle Reef (★4.4) This place is formed by a coral reef that, from the surface, descends very gently in the water. The environment is formed by many species of hard corals of different shapes and colors. Morecambe Area Divers Ltd, LA3 3PB Morecambe Moray Garden (★4.5) Located to the South of Dahab, this site can be classified as a confined area as well as open water. Walk-in off the beach. The site gently descends to 6m before sloping down to 30 meters. Extra Divers Dahab, South Sinai Dahab Islands (★4.7) 5min drive from the dive center. Entrance via reef top, therefore only diveable at high tide and little wind. Two reefs reaching just below the surface (Islands) border a shallow, labyrinthine hard coral garden. One of the most beautiful dive sites in Dahab. ORCA DIVE CLUB Paradisio, El Gouna Marsa Abu Galawa (★4.3) 1 hour south of El Gouna is Marsa Abu Galawa. It is a nice bay with a drop off full of beautiful hard corals. In the bay you find nice coral blocks and inside there is a shallow sea gras area. ORCA DIVE CLUB Paradisio, El Gouna Shaab Iris (★4.4) Shaab Iris is located in the Abu Nugar region, which is about 1.5 hours from El Gouna and consists of a main reef and many coral blocks. The average depth is 14m. Eduardo M. (#3068167) Ras Abu Soma (★4.4) The Somabay headland forms the northern end of Safaga Bay. The “Ras“ (head), is a steep wall that ends in the south on a 25m deep plateau, main current direction is coming from the north. On the plateau you can find ancient table corals up to 4m in size, and a steep wall. SCUBA NOSY BE, 207 HELL VILLE Tanikely sud (★4.3) The Tanikely park is very famous, beautiful dive site, full of fish, very beautiful corals, in good health, moreover easy diving, not deep, for all levels. ORCA DIVE CLUB Paradisio, El Gouna Dolphin House (★4.4) Dolphin House (Gota Shaab el Erg) lies to the west of the main reef, Shaab El Erg. Here the reef forms a channel into the open sea where the dolphins often like to swim in and out. Be aware, the channel can cause a moderate current. ORCA DIVE CLUB Paradisio, El Gouna Carless Reef (★4.5) About 2 hours southeast of El Gouna is one of the most beautiful reefs of El Gouna. Since the reef is located in the open sea, there are often strong currents. This gives the possibility for many predators to inhabit the reef and corals, due to the great living conditions. ORCA DIVE CLUB Paradisio, El Gouna El Gilwa (★4.3) 2 hours in the north direction are the Siyoul Islands with different and nice dive sites. El Gilwa is on the westside of the Siyoul Kebir Island and has a lot of nice coral blocks covered in soft corals. Sometimes there can be a strong current here. Corail Plongee, 97434 Saint-Gilles les Bains Canyon (★4.3) A must-see site. This dive site is suitable for all levels. It is made up of ancient lava flows, colonized by coral. It’s a photographer’s delight, with both macro and wide-angle shots. Christine N. (#2837383) Ras Torombi (★4.1) At the entry point, there are several coral blocks ranging from 8 to 15 meters in depth, reaching almost to the surface.A beautiful coral garden with soft and hard corals. DiveTime Zanzibar, 73107 Zanzibar Anemona City (★4.3) Anemona City is only a 10-minute boat ride from Kizimkazi. The boat anchors are near a plateau about 4-5 meters deep. Swimming over the plateau we can already see many corals, small and large with abundant underwater life. We soon reach a slope where we go from 7 meters to a maximum of 15-17 meters. Mares Swiss Inn Beach (★4.0) Swiss Inn house reef. Entrance in the swimmer zone. Sand and sea grass with occasional small and larger blocks. One big block at 12m depth, this is also the max. depth. Coral nursery station, partly artificial reef by various artifacts on which we let corals settle. Peter S. (#417559) Tanikely Pain de Sucre (★4.3) Tanikély Nord, also known as Pain de Sucre, is a magnificent dive site in the Tanikély marine reserve. A marine reserve means no fishing and lots of fish. Aqualung Hunga (★4.1) This dive site is in the middle of the ocean and is a drift dive. You will find some pinnacle with sponges and hard coral. It is a tidal dive so make sure you make this dive when it is low tide. Extra Divers El Quseir, El Quseir El Quadim (★4.5) The El Quadim house reef is located directly in the bay of the Mövenpick Hotel El Quseir and has an eventful past with its 5000 years of history (originally the oldest trading port in Egypt, the old amphorae & anchor). Very easy to dive with a large bay of 4 m depth with a north and south side and a deeper area. Mares Abu Dabab Garden (★4.3) Fringing reef with beautiful corrals and lots of colorful fish. Reef is in very good condition. Depth varies from 5 to 30m. Specialty of Abu Dabbab Garden is the area around the jetty where a small and a big lagoon, canyons and caves can be found. Black Rock Dive Centre, 46617 Dahab, South Sinai Bannerfish Bay (★4.3) 150 meters south of the Lighthouse in Dahab, comes this dive site where encounters with schools of Bannerfishes are almost guaranteed. This site is speciallly interesting to underwater photographers due to its diverse fauna. Aqualung Satoya, Ägypten (★4.4) Shaab Sharm is an impressive coastal reef near Marsa Alam, about 12 km off the Egyptian coast. It is around 700 m long, gradually drops over 200 m deep and is surrounded by strong currents. These promote rich coral growth and attract large fish. Night dives are not possible here. Peter S. (#417559) Daedalus Reef (★4.3) Deadalus Reef can only be reached by Liveaboard boats and is one of the top dive sites on most diver’s wish list. A stand alone 400m long reef approx. 80km away from Marsa Alam, this spectacular reef is difficult to miss as it even has its own lighthouse. Aqualung Abu Dabab IV (★4.3) Access to this dive site is from a zodiac. This site has one big coral block with colourful soft and hard corals, surrounded by small corals blocks and pinnacles. Mares, Janez Kranjc Cap la Houssaye (★4.5) The dive site is located in the Réserve Naturelle Marine de la Réunion.The site’s varied scenery will delight beginners and experienced divers alike. A coral reef, colorful and full of life, colonizes the rocks on the sand and the small drop-off. O Sea Bleu, 97434 Saint-Gilles les Bains Passe de l’Ermitage (★4.4) Formed by a gully that “hollowed out“ the coral reef, the pass is a place of exchange, rich in plankton and nutrients. Although visibility is sometimes uncertain, apart from the scenery, the food chain is in full swing, making this an unmissable dive! Particularly for these turtles and rays Mares Port Ghalib Sand-Oasis (★4.1) Entry and exit is via the jetty. From here there are two options. Either head north or head south to the Palace. The dive to Palace is a one-way dive. Centrum Nurkowe Aqarium, 78-100 Kołobrzeg Sha’ab Sheer East (★4.4) This rest area is popular and frequented by safari boats due to its large, quiet and safe dock. The reef begins only a few inches below the surface and at low tide, the tips of the coral heads break through the surface. Marcus M. (#2724513) Marsa Assalaya (★4.3) Well protected bay with entry from the beach, both sides of the bay with a beautiful and colorful reef. In the middle of the bay, there is a big area with seagrass. Mares Groupers Rocks, Mnemba Island (★4.3) A wonderful drop off that starts at 12 meters forms this site. There is a huge mixture of different species of hard and soft corals, with big colorful sponges that are living on it. Mares Small Wall, Mnenba Island (★4.4) Small Wall is a huge coral reef that starts at the surface and reaches to 50 meters of depth. It is a great spot for all levels of divers, from OWD to the XR addict! Around 30 meters there is a second drop off where colorful corals and gorgonians create a very captivating environment. The Divers Universe, 00000 Quseir Sharm Taahtany (★4.2) Interesting coral-rich wall, easily accessible from Mangroovy Bay by boat (opposite the Oriental Coast area) , perfect for all levels of experience. ←1234→
