The bay guarantees a protected dive from the rough sea. Starting with a sloping sandy bottom, a dive to the north and the south sides can be conducted. Yoeri D. (#3526102) Small Giftun / Police Station (★4.4) One of the famous dive sites in Hurghada is Small Giftun Drift, also known as the Polics Station. It offers a great wall drift dive finishing with a coral garden plateau and stunning coral reef with lots of marine life of varying types. ORCA DIVE CLUB SOMA BAY, Soma Bay Gamul Kebir (★4.3) Short driving time of approx. 25 minutes and can be approached even in strong winds. Shallow reef (max 16m) with great lighting conditions. Apart from the channel, there is little to no current. Aqualung The Breakers House Reef South, Soma Bay (★4.4) Housereef, directly in front of the dive center, very easy to reach with shuttle and great helpful staff. A little windy and also swell belong here with changing currents. Mares, Janez Kranjc Abu Dabab I (★4.3) Beautiful coral garden, many coral blocks with amazingly colorful soft corals. Few little caves with beautiful light inside them. Approachable with boat or zodiac. Mares Marsa Mourain (★4.2) The entrance is a sandy corridor between the rocks equipped with a rope. This makes the entrance and exit easier in case of a strong current. Both sides of the sandy bay are covered with beautiful reefs with corners. You will find colorful soft and hard corals. Rainer G. (#2534580) Zerib Kebir (★4.5) A beautiful dive site with a lot of canyons inside the reef and small caves. The entrance is from the sandy shore. Amazingly colorful coral gardens and rich in marine life are found here. Aqualung Um Sid (★4.5) Umm Sid - The entrance is a steep sandy gravel road that runs between 2 reef plateaus directly up to the beach. Large gorgonian at 35 meters. Sand area with tube eels. Nice shallow area with small boulders that also house cleaning stations. Mares Middle Reef Safaga (★4.4) Approx. 90-minute boat ride but worth the trip. From 5 to over 40m deep everything available to see. This is a nice dive site for one way drift dives. Many blocks form a kind of fun labyrinth. BLUE SEA DIVERS, MAHE Light House (★4.2) A great dive from 10 to 37 meters deep with lots of fish and pelagics passing by. Hang out on the plateau at 15 meters and you can possibly see sharks. Aqualung Golden Blocks (★4.5) This site is approximately a 15min drive, south of Dahab. Great, easy dive site with a beautiful block, full of glass fish and banner fish. Shallow sloping reef with sand and boulders. At 18m deep the site changes to a closed reef, always with sandy roads. There is a small canyon with gorgonians at 25-30m. Mares Umm El Ros/Marsa Mubarak (★4.3) Umm El Ros is one of the most well known dive sites in the port Ghalib area and only a 15 minute ride away from the marina. A natural bay formation keeps this site protected. A beautiful dive can be conducted from 1m depth through a sandy bottom to the northern reef or to the southern pinnacles. Impact Divers, 7975 Cape Town Long Beach Simons Town (★4.3) Due to the shape of the harbour, Long Beach is well protected from most winds and waves. This dive site has a maximum depth of about 18 meters. This dive site does not require a boat ride and is a great shore dive. Aqualung Three Corners Equinox House Reef (★4.2) Large, shallow bay with a seagrass meadow. You have the option of diving along the reef, walking through the seagrass meadow, or even both.Easy entry from the beach.Beautiful coral blocks and lettuce corals. Blue Dolphin, 4133 Robbana / El May / Djerba Wreck Eso (★3.9) This minelayer sank approx. 8 km off the coast of Djerba, off Ras Turgueness. It lies at a depth of 20 m. The wreck was located in 2014 and is home to many varieties of fish. Mares Bikini (★4.3) This dive site is only accessible by boat. The bikini dive site has an average depth of 18m and a maximum of 22m and is known as a photographer’s playground. This area of the reef always delivers a surprise of some sort such as nudibranchs, pipefish, paper fish, or some other beauty. ORCA DIVE CLUB Paradisio, El Gouna El Sakhwa (★4.3) This dive is about 1 hour south of El Gouna. The mooring lines are located on the inside of the small bay. From the bay is a wall going outside till you reach some nice reef blocks in the shallows where you will find a drop off going down to 40m. There you can find a small canyon. Aqualung Sataya Reef South (★4.3) Shaab Sataya is the most famous dolphin reef in South Reed Sea and one the largest Reef in Reef Sea about 5 km length. In the east side lagoon spinner dolphins are located. South part of it is the most nice hard coral garden in the reef, were are do our dive at a nice shallow plateau ending by a drop off. BLUE DOLPHIN, 4133 Robbana / El May / Djerba Sidi Bakour (★4.2) Sidi Bakour is a fascinating dive site off the Tunisian island of Djerba. Suitable for divers of all levels, this site offers depths ranging from 5 to 30 meters. Divers can explore sandy seabeds dotted with rocks and posidonia meadows. Mares Mashraba (★4.5) A sandy bottom, followed by seagrass, then an artificial underwater museum and finally a wall drop-off. This dive site offers it all, very popular with underwater photography enthusiasts and accessible for beginners and advanced divers alike. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Ras Abu Galum (★4.5) Abu Galum is a stunning dive spot that lies in one of Sinai’s protected national park areas. Located in the far north of Dahab, this site can be accessed by camel or alternatively by boat. A sandy slope descends away from the shore with the reef wall starting on both sides going down to 30 meters. Whitetip Divers, 00000 PRASLIN Channel Rock (★4.2) Located to the east of Praslin island, halfway to La Digue, Approximately 15-25 mins boat ride depending on the weather conditions. It is a submerged granite reef known as channel rock. The average depth ranges between 10-25metres. At low tide the pinnacle of the tallest boulder just breaks the surface. Mares The Alternatives (★4.3) This is a very interesting dive site, different pinnacles are lined up over a drop-off. The first of these pinnacles is called “Stingray Station.“ This dive is suitable for every level of diver and also snorkelers. SSI Service Center Egypt, Hurghada Marsa Abu Dabab (★4.4) Abu Dabab North is a significant dive site located in the Marsa Alam zone with very easy access from the shore. This site is suitable for all diver levels and snorkelers as well. It can be easily accessed from boat and shore (boats can only access the site from outside the bay). Mares Shetani / Three Turtles (★4.0) This site is a small wall descending from 5 meters to 18 meters maximum. There are pinnacles of coral, both hard and soft, with many small coral fish in amazing shades of color. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Kichwani (★4.4) Kichwani is the most popular dive site in Mnemba. It is formed by a big coral reef that starts from the surface and goes to 30 meters depth. The reef is formed by a good mixture of hard and soft corals of different colors. Don’t miss the glassfish shelter at 25 meters! Mares, Predrag Vuckovic Wattabomi (★4.2) Very easy dive made by different pinnacles at a shallow depth. The pinnacles are formed by different species of hard corals with soft corals and anemones throughout. Following these formations, you can find a coral drop off down to 25 meters. Aqualung Baie Ternay Marine Park (★4.1) 20 min from Beau Vallon Beach and 18min from Bel Ombre Marina. Anchoring on the sand in the area allowed and safe. Marine Park is a beautiful protected reef at a maximum depth of 20m. Sometimes light/strong current. Mares, Janez Kranjc Mnemba Sandbanks (★4.3) This place is formed by a coral reef that, from the surface, decreases very gently in the water. The environment is formed by many species of hard corals of different shapes and colors. Aqualung Turtle Reef (★4.4) This place is formed by a coral reef that, from the surface, descends very gently in the water. The environment is formed by many species of hard corals of different shapes and colors. BLUE SEA DIVERS, MAHE Paradise Rock (★4.2) This site owes its name to a large rock, under which is a small cave with a short tunnel. All around the rock are various typical Seychelles species, from large schools of fish to sharks (nurse sharks), turtles, and many lobsters and crabs. Morecambe Area Divers Ltd, LA3 3PB Morecambe Moray Garden (★4.5) Located to the South of Dahab, this site can be classified as a confined area as well as open water. Walk-in off the beach. The site gently descends to 6m before sloping down to 30 meters. Impact Divers, 7975 Cape Town Boulders Beach (★3.9) Simonstown Boulders is an easily accessible shore dive. The average depth is 6 meters and the maximum depth is 9 meters, so it is a good training dive site for beginners. Shark Explorers, 7975 Simons Town Windmill Beach (★4.5) This site has a very easy and protected beach entry and a small cove with a sandy bottom that is suitable for training exercises, while also having a varied topography, diverse ecology, and large area. BLUE SEA DIVERS, MAHE Marianne (★4.5) This site is beautiful with granite islands and depths from 12 to 25 meters. This is usually a drift dive with lots of black and white tip sharks, and many fun passages. Extra Divers Dahab, South Sinai Dahab Islands (★4.7) 5min drive from the dive center. Entrance via reef top, therefore only diveable at high tide and little wind. Two reefs reaching just below the surface (Islands) border a shallow, labyrinthine hard coral garden. One of the most beautiful dive sites in Dahab. BLUE SEA DIVERS, 0000 MAHE Ray's point (★3.9) 20 min from Beau Vallon Beach and 17min from Bel Ombre Marina. Mooring up in front of Anse du riz. Ray’s point is a beautiful reef along the granite rocks at a maximum depth of 17m. Sometimes light/strong current. BLUE SEA DIVERS, 0000 MAHE Aquarium (★4.3) 5 to 8 min to Beau Vallon Beach or 10 min from Bel Ombre marina. Anchoring on the sand just a little outside of the site. 3 bommies at 15 meters maximum depth on the edges. Sometimes light current on the surface, rarely current on the bottom. Whitetip Divers, 00000 PRASLIN Red Point (★4.1) Red point is situated at the southernmost tip of Curieuse island within the curieuse marine park. it is approximately a 10mins boat ride from the dive centre depending on the weather conditions. The dive site consists of big gigantic boulders submerged underwater and also some can be seen out of the water. 10-20m Shark Explorers, 7975 Simons Town Millers Point (★4.1) Millers Point is also known as Shark Alley due to the high numbers of Seven-gill sharks that use to be found here in the kelp forest. This site is in a marine protected area. Make sure you get your diving permit and take nothing other than memories and photos. ORCA DIVE CLUB Paradisio, El Gouna Giannis D, wreck (★4.6) The most breathtaking wreck in the Abu Nuhas area. Very popular with UW photographers. The bow is in only 10m of water. The stern’s max depth is 25m. The stern is laid on its left side, which can throw divers off a bit when they dive through. The engine room is a spectacular sight, full of glassfish, and the mast and anchor winch are full of soft coral. ORCA DIVE CLUB Paradisio, El Gouna Marsa Abu Galawa (★4.3) 1 hour south of El Gouna is Marsa Abu Galawa. It is a nice bay with a drop off full of beautiful hard corals. In the bay you find nice coral blocks and inside there is a shallow sea gras area. ORCA DIVE CLUB Paradisio, El Gouna Shaab Iris (★4.4) Shaab Iris is located in the Abu Nugar region, which is about 1.5 hours from El Gouna and consists of a main reef and many coral blocks. The average depth is 14m. Eduardo M. (#3068167) Ras Abu Soma (★4.4) The Somabay headland forms the northern end of Safaga Bay. The “Ras“ (head), is a steep wall that ends in the south on a 25m deep plateau, main current direction is coming from the north. On the plateau you can find ancient table corals up to 4m in size, and a steep wall. SCUBA NOSY BE, 207 HELL VILLE Tanikely sud (★4.3) The Tanikely park is very famous, beautiful dive site, full of fish, very beautiful corals, in good health, moreover easy diving, not deep, for all levels. ORCA DIVE CLUB Paradisio, El Gouna Dolphin House (★4.4) Dolphin House (Gota Shaab el Erg) lies to the west of the main reef, Shaab El Erg. Here the reef forms a channel into the open sea where the dolphins often like to swim in and out. Be aware, the channel can cause a moderate current. ORCA DIVE CLUB Paradisio, El Gouna Carless Reef (★4.5) About 2 hours southeast of El Gouna is one of the most beautiful reefs of El Gouna. Since the reef is located in the open sea, there are often strong currents. This gives the possibility for many predators to inhabit the reef and corals, due to the great living conditions. Corail Plongee, 97434 Saint-Gilles les Bains Canyon (★4.3) A must-see site. This dive site is suitable for all levels. It is made up of ancient lava flows, colonized by coral. It’s a photographer’s delight, with both macro and wide-angle shots. Mares, Janez Kranjc Antons (★4.4) Antons is one of the best dives in Sodwana. Anton’s Reef is so-named after one of the first dive operators in Sodwana Bay (1980’s) – Anton Buchel. On this reef you will find various gullies, a long swim-through, and boulders surrounded by sand patches. Numerous varieties of coral such as fleshy soft coral, table, and spiral coral, as well as colourful sponges cover the area. This dive site is only accessible via boat with an average depth of 12m and a maximum depth of 16m. ←123...5→
