We recommend you check out the mini cave that usually has large pelagics, Aqualung Shag Rock - Coral Gardens (★4.0) Shag Rock is an exposed rocky reef only a short 6 to 8 minute boat ride from the beach our Dive boats are launched from. Because of this it is the most protected dive site and offers great diving when conditions elsewhere take a turn for the worse. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Heart Pontoon - Hardy Reef (★4.2) Scuba divers will love the pristine Reef walls that drop down 30 metres. This location makes a great drift dive. vers of colourful marine life will be delighted with butterflyfish, clown triggerfish and angelfish.There are nice mackerel, trevally and Reef sharks along the Reef wall SSI AUSTRALIA, 4207 YATALA Bushrangers Bay (★4.1) Stop at the most Western car park. This will give access to a viewing platform of Bushrangers Bay. There a a timber staircase that leads down to the entry point. It is a rocky beach so footwear is highly recommended. Great spot for snorkelers and day visitors. No take marine protected area. Mares, Predrag Vuckovic The Fingers (★4.0) A deep dive for experienced divers. Access via a 35minute boat ride from the Albany Town Marina. Ideal in low wind situations. Exposed dive site which is difficult to anchor on (plan for live boat - take SMB!) Entry adjacent steep limestone wall. Aqualung Shag Rock - Sanctuary Cove (★4.1) A great site for divers of all levels, Sanctuary Cove is generally the most sheltered site in the area. A great spot for macro photography with lots of unique marine life such as frogfish and peacock mantis shrimp. Mares, Janez Kranjc Shag Rock - Sunken Reef (★3.9) Shag Rock is an exposed rocky reef only a short 6 to 8 minute boat ride from the beach our Dive boats are launched from. Because of this it is the most protected dive site and offers great diving when conditions elsewhere take a turn for the worse. Mares Bare Island West (★3.6) Despite the lower visibility on the western side of Bare Island this is a very popular Dive Site with average depths between 7 - 12mIt’s also one of the few dive sites in Sydney for reliable sightings of the curious Red Indian Fish., Mares Kat’s Kables (★4.5) This is an anchoring site near Two Caves. Look for old communication cables connecting Direction Island to Australia and the world. Sadly it appears that Kat the dugong may have moved on to green sea grass pastures. Mares Fan Wall (★4.3) Popular site for all levels of divers. Lots to see on top of the reef shallower than 20m. Experienced divers can venture out into the blue to swim with the black trevally and look down at the cruising sharks and dogtooth tuna. The expert diver can slip down the wall to 40m to enjoy the fans and a cave. COCOS DIVE, 6799 COCOS K ISLANDS Canons (★4.2) Easy afternoon dive site after a relaxing lunch on Direction Island. Kat our resident dugong is sighted regularly here. Also a favourite location for dolphins and mantas entering or leaving the lagoon. Mares, Janez Kranjc Two Ridges (★4.3) With some imagination, the two large coral outcrops at Two Ridges looks like a sunken upside down catamaran hull. Kat the dugong was a regular visitor to this site. Mares Ski Run (★4.7) Very popular dive site with many repeat divers. Start the dive on the edge of the coral reef. Head down the sand to see the glassfish bommie. Watch the trevally feeding. While dropping slowly down the slope, look for sleeping white tip reef sharks and extra-long garden eels. This dive has something for everyone. BYRON BAY DIVE CENTRE, 2481 BYRON BAY Main Beach Wreck - Tassie III (★3.5) A shallow easy dive featuring a wreck (Tassie III), some pillars from an old jetty and a large seaweed garden, this dive is perfect for anyone starting out in their diving adventures while still offering plenty a marine encounters that will keep even the most veteran divers entertained. Mares South Point (★4.7) 10-15m dive over broken ground. Boat entry. Usually protected in most conditions. This site is a nursery for juvenile fish. Thousands of Old Wife, Bight Redfish, Moonlighter and Breaksea. SSI AUSTRALIA, 4207 YATALA Norman Reef - Playgrounds (★4.4) On the southern part of Norman Reef, we have Playgrounds and Shark Mountain. Playgrounds for more beginner divers and Shark Mountain for a bit more advanced divers. Beautiful coral reef and bommies to explore. Aqualung Heron Island - North Bombie (★4.2) Named after the large bommie that is the main feature of this dive. North bommie is covered in glass and cardinal fish that are harassed all day by dozens of coral trout, coral cod and barramundi cod. Scubapro Clown Reef (★4.0) CLOWN FISH EVERYWHERE! Dropping down on this site looks like boulder city at one end and gullys at the other. You can find 1000’s of anemonies and clownish at this site. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Evolution, Saxon Reef (★4.5) This site is made up of a collection of coral bommies, where you can find many different features. It is a good dive for all the levels, being around the shallows will surprise you with the incredible marine life that you can find. Aqualung Saxon Reef Magic Wall (★4.5) Shallow wall, goes about 15m deep with scattered bommies in the deeper sand. Heaps of small caves that hides eels and octopus. Recommended from beginners to advanced divers. Mares, Janez Kranjc Butterflies (★3.9) Butterfly is a unique dive site that we get to visit on special occasions. Hill like surroundings and overhanging structures, lots to see on this amazing dive site. David G. (#3752744) Tree Peaks - Saxon Reef (★4.6) Dive site for all different levels. It is call tree peak because an old tree underwater and corals had grown all over it. It is a beautiful place in the shallows with hips of colours to enjoy. DIVE NEAR ME PTY LTD, 2500 Wollongong The Gutter (★3.9) The Gutter is an entry point to one of the best dives at Bass Point. Jumping off the rocks into 4 meters of water and swimming north you hitting a 10 meter rock. From here you can venture out to many spots or just hang out in The Gutter itself. LADY MUSGRAVE EXPERIENCE, 4670 Burnett Heads Lady Musgrave Aquarium (★4.3) Accessible via the channel from Lady Musgrave Lagoon, maximum depth of 8m where anemones, hard corals and clams are found. Reef sharks and green sea turtles regularly spotted. Mares, Predrag Vuckovic Gold Coast Offshore (★4.0) Ten minutes offshore from the Gold Coast is open water suitable for freediving line training and courses. The bottom depth is approximately 40 meters deep. Mares Table Top (★4.4) Table Top is a huge, beautiful bommie situated on Norman Reef. This bommie is famous for its beautiful plate corals on the top and diversity of marine life. It is a deep dive normally with a current. On the top of the bommie the maximum depth is around 5 m. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Mudjimba Island Reef SW (★3.6) The reef to the SW of Mudjimba Island offers a shallow wall that drops off (to approx 8 to 15 metres) from the reef top (depth of approx 3 to 6 metres). “Mudjimba“ is the islands aboriginal name (and translates to “Old Woman“), with origin from an indigenous dream time story. Mares, Janez Kranjc Agincourt Reefs (★4.4) Agincourt Reef, dive site located in agroup of reefs called Agincourt Reefs. Only acessible by boat.
