It is named after Ebo Domacassé, (one of) the first certified diving instructor of Bonaire. Scubapro Joanne’s Sunchi (J) (★4.4) Joanne’s Sunchi (or Joanne’s Kiss) is a beautiful dive site with a deep dropoff. Along this dropoff where a lot of coral grows, there are sand ridges that extend to depth. Channel Islands Scuba, 91360 Thousand Oaks Salt Pier (49) (★4.6) Active pier for loading salt from the salt works on the island of Bonaire. It can only be dived when no ship is moored, and no maintenance is being performed. Mares Cliff (28) (★4.3) Cliff is considered one of the best dive spots on Bonaire for macro photography. Another easy entry shore dive this site does not disappoint as it has a wall running along the left side of the dive site that drops to over 22 meters. Aqualung Captain Don’s Habitat (★4.4) Captain Don’s Habitat is one of the most famous dive resorts in Bonaire. The house reef that sits right off from the resort is a very popular and easily accessible dive site with a healthy reef system and tons of marine life. A great site to have a night dive. Mares, Predrag Vuckovic Country Garden (14) (★4.4) With the limestone formations, Country Garden is highly recommended. A variety of fish swim around and between here. Please note, it is a real boat diving site that you cannot visit from the shore. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire The Lake (42) (★4.3) ’The Lake’ is actually an ocean dive site accessible by shore and consists of a beautiful double reef. The first reef is shallower than the second reef and they are separated by a long sand strip. Danielle V. (#2691557) Karpata (9) (★4.5) Many consider Karpata one of the best dive sites in Bonaire. It is famous for its spectacular visibility and beautiful topography. The reef is covered in healthy soft and hard corals and the reef has beautiful shaping to it. A must dive while in Bonaire! Discover Diving, 14043 Depew Bari’s Reef (30) (★4.3) A small jetty runs along the northern section of this dive site where plenty of fish hide like octopus, crabs, lobsters, etc. An easily accessible shore dive suitable for all levels of divers. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Invisibles (51) (★4.5) An easily accessible shore dive with a double reef feature. The first reef is shallow and great for beginning divers and snorkelers. The second reef is a bit deeper and separated by a long, skinny sand flat. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Tori’s Reef (52) (★4.3) The reef is located at a passage to the salt pans and is therefore easy to reach. Take a good look around along the way, there is a huge variety of fish on this reef! Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Bachelor Beach (38) (★4.3) Another great shore dive in Bonaire, especially nice for photographers due to the sheer diversity of marine life found here. You’ll be greeted underwater first by a sandy plateau and the reef starts just a bit further out. Scubapro Thousand Steps (16) (★4.5) Thousand Steps is one of the most famous dive sites in all of Bonaire. Parking for this site is at the top of a cliff where you descend down 67 stairs with your gear on to access the beach. The long set of steps is where this site gets its name. A beautiful dive location. Mares, Janez Kranjc Mi Dushi (T) (★4.4) Mi Dushi (My Sweetheart) is a beautiful wall that extends to 38 meters. It is located on the island of Klein Bonaire and its flat start makes it ideal for snorkelers as well. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Margate Bay (55) (★4.4) Before the reef really starts you have a large stretch of sand that is also interesting for snorkelers. The reef itself is named after the schools of “Black Margate“ that you can encounter here. Ascuba Venture, Inc, 78412 Corpus Christi Buddy’s Reef (29) (★4.4) One of the most popular dive sites in all of Bonaire, Buddy’s Reef is a very easily accessible shore dive perfect for beginners and experienced divers. It sits right off the popular Buddy’s Dive Resort and is their house reef. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Angel City (44) (★4.4) Angel city is an amazing double reef that runs parallel to the coast. It starts after a flat section at a depth of 5 meters and the first reef extends at about 18 meters. Then up to get to the next rift till 9 meters. The reefs are not far apart, allowing you to dive in an environment surrounded by reefs. Mares Leonora’s Reef (X) (★4.4) The reef starts nicely at shallow depths and is therefore good for snorkeling. In addition, you have a steep wall with many inlets and tunnels where you can find a lot of life. Gideon d. (#3720139) Oil Slick Leap (20) (★4.3) This dive site is an easily accessible shore dive right outside of the downtown area. There is a latter for easy entry and exit from the water. An extremely easy dive site to navigate and great for all levels of divers. Mares Carl’s Hill (V) (★4.4) With its soft corals and sponges, this wall is a real delight for the underwater photographer. The site is therefore named after photographer Carl Roessler. The wnad runs from 10 to 40 meters. Mares Reef Scientifico (28) (★4.4) This spot is named after the research done here on the growth of corals on specially designed grids. Also nice for a night dive or snorkeling adventure. Mares Captain Don’s Reef (K) (★4.5) This reef is named after Don Steward, one of the diving pioneers on Bonaire. It is a beautiful reef with all kinds of small plateaus if you dive down the rig for a long time. Aqualung Playa Frans (★4.5) Playa Frans is a fishing beach with some houses. A beautiful sloping reef with lots of life and also fun for snorkeling due to the large shallow areas. Mares Hamlet (★4.3) Located in Hamlet Oasis south of Dive Friends Hamlet shop. Marked with a pin. Can be entered from Cliff dive site (Hamlet Dive Friends) or From La Machaca dive site (Captain Don’s).
