Mares, Predrag Vuckovic Rasdhoo Miyaru Faru (★4.6) The divesite is located at the northernmost point of the Rasdhoo atoll. There is a reef wall between 10-25 m and a reef slope descending into the deep water. DivePoint Hudhuran Fushi, 20193 Male Lohis (★4.4) This drift dive is a slope from 5 to 25m. Some big blocks are on the way. There you will find big turtles and sharks passing by. On top of the reef, you see parrotfish, napoleon, morays, and eagle rays. DivePoint Hudhuran Fushi, 20193 Male One Palm Finolhu (★4.5) This is a gently sloping reef, ideal for beginners and advanced divers. There are many large coral blocks on the reef. This site is great for night diving as well. Sea Retreats Dive & Watersports, 20092 Thulusdhoo 5 Palms, Thulusdhoo (★4.6) 5 Palms is a fun drift dive that has something to offer for every level of diver. The top of the reef starts at 5m and drops down at 8m. At 22/25m there is a sandy plateau on the edge of which big fish appear from time to time. Mares Dreamland Housereef (★4.3) Dreamland Housereef, located at Hirundhoo Island in Baa Atoll, Maldives, features a wide sloping reef beginning at approximately 3 m and extending to 30–35 m. Divers can enter from shore or jetty. Generally mild to moderate currents and 20–25 m visibility make this site ideal for all experience levels. Rasdhoo Dive and Watersports, 09020 Rasdhoo Madivaru Channel (★4.6) Rasdhoo Madivaru is a channel located at the intersection of the local islands of Rasdhoo and Madivaru. Dive along the edge of parallel or perpendicular reef formations across the channel and explore the sandy areas. Mares, Janez Kranjc Potato Reef, Thulusdhoo (★4.5) Potato reef is a large pinnacle with lively corals on the top reef. Top reef starts from 6m. Reef at some area are more steep slope and some area gentle slope. Site is suitable for course dives, night dives, and fun dives. Sea Retreats Dive & Watersports, 20092 Thulusdhoo Gasfinolhu House Reef (★4.6) Located on the western side of the island. Beautiful long reef with arches and overhangs on the shallow part of the reef 14m above. Some area are a bit more gentle slope and some areas are a steep slope. Mares, Janez Kranjc Madivaru Finolhu (★4.6) It is ten minutes from Kuramathi and right next to the famous Madivaru Corner. The wall dive starts shallow within 5m and drops to the outside of the Atoll. It is perfect for drift diving, shallow dives, and deep dives. Peter S. (#417559) Angaga Thila (★4.4) Underwater seamount- called Thila in Maldives, top reef at 7-10 meters. Negative decent needed away from the reef if there is current. High concentration of fish on the current side. Lots of schooling fishes, Tunas and big stuff such as sharks and rays. Beautiful cracks and holes with all kind of surprises. Mares Kuda Faru (★4.5) Finger Point also known as Kuda faru, the divesite is located in the channel of Makunudhoo, a few kilometers northwest of the island that shares the same name. The northern reef of the channel presents an interesting outgrowth, which looks like a pinnacle (Thila), has a top reef at 12m and is connected to the main reef. Mares Gaa Huraa Kandu / Van Huraveli Kandu (★4.2) This channel located in the north of Meemu atoll offers a wide variety of marine life. If the current is not too strong you can cross the whole channel during the dive. DivePoint Rannalhi, South Male Atoll Rannalhi Kuda Giri (★4.6) Small Giri with beautiful coral blocks on the west side. This giri is covered with fields of anemones and different types of anemone fish. Easy dive. DivePoint Rannalhi, South Male Atoll Appa Thila (★4.4) Appa Thila is a large reef on the inside of the atoll. Its west side is a beautiful terrace with lots of hard and soft coral blocks. Down at 30 meters there is some smaller overhangs, but the most beautiful part is the shallower waters above 15 meters. Appa Thila is great for beginners and snorkellers. SUN SIYAM DIVING OLHUVELI, 2005 South Male Atoll Lhosfushi Kuda Kandu (★4.3) Kuda Kandu means small channel and is located north of Guraidhoo channel, it has a very shallow sandy bottom at 12 meters deep and 10 meters wide. It offers colonies of stony and soft corals which give good hide away spots to blue stripe yellow snappers. Mares, Janez Kranjc Bolifushi Wreck (★4.4) Bolifushi Wreck is a around 60 ft long steel wreck which stands literally upright in the water with its bow on the top. The wreck is located between 4 to 20 meters of depth... Peter S. (#417559) Dhigurah Beyru (★4.2) Outer reef diving site on the local island of Dhighura - reef slowly sloping down from 0 to approx. 10 m, then more or less steep wall up to over 40 m with smaller overhangs. Depending on the current, right or left shoulder along the reef. Scubapro Maavaru Thila (★4.7) Maavaru Thila is made up of 2 different thilas (pinnacles) a deeper one to start the dive on and a shallower thila that is perfect to finish the dive on. Mares, Janez Kranjc Dhigali Haa (★4.7) Dhigali Haa is a protected thila in Baa Atoll with a shallow top at around 8 m and a maximum depth of approximately 35 m. The site features steep sides, overhangs and strong reef structure, often surrounded by large schools of fish. DivePoint Rannalhi, South Male Atoll Vaagali Thila (★4.4) Small thila in the Vaageli channel. You can dive around it within one hour. The thila has many blocks and nice terraces. The top of the thila is at 10 meters. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Emboodhoo Thila (★4.4) This underwater reef begins at 15 meters and features interesting formations with overhangs. The site offers diverse marine life ranging from macro species to shark predators. The dive can start or end where the channel meets the open ocean, where pelagic fish and groups of eagle rays are often spotted. DivePoint Hudhuran Fushi, 20193 Male Himmafushi Faru (★4.3) Himmafushi Corner offers a wonderful drift dive on an easy slope from 5 to 30m. Here there is a drop-off and you can see big life with a bit of luck. Mares, Janez Kranjc Turtle Reef (★4.3) Turtle Reef is a beautiful part of the outside reef on the east side of the atoll, famous for it turtle encounters. The reeftop stretches down to approximately 7 meters on the edge - after that the deep blue awaits you... Maldives Passions, 08090 Maafushi Embudu Channel (★4.3) This is a marine protected area because of the population of grey reef and white tip sharks it supports. The dive starts on the south side of the channel and then sinks down to the edge of the last “step” around 30m. DivePoint Hudhuran Fushi, 20193 Male Old Virgin (★4.6) This wall is for all kind of divers, easy and protected but nice. The reef falls from 5 to 25m and we have to look in the small overhangs.In the right month (May to Aug) often mantas passing in the blue. A spot also good for a night dive and a good chance to get surprised. The terrain offers a varied, almost maze-like dive with gentle currents and good visibility. Its moderate depth makes it suitable for most divers, especially those who enjoy slow, detailed reef exploration. Mares Loabi Giri (★4.5) since 2025-09-28 under construction, Werner Lau Center Out Of Business @: 2025-11-17 under construction, under construction, under construction, Scubapro Makunudu Plateau (★4.6) Makundu Plateau is located at the south-eastern tip of the long reef near Makunudu Island. The Plateau itself is a shallow coral garden, 5-12 meters, with amazing coral hills and towers. Sub Oceanic at Hilton Maldives Amingiri, 20188 North Male Atoll Amingiri Sandbank Reef (★4.8) What seems to be a rather “unspectacular” sandbank reveals itself as a very pretty dive site. Having said that, sandbanks are never really unspectacular in the Maldives but you wouldn’t expect a very pretty wall ranging from 3 to 30 meters when looking at the pristine white sand on top of the reef. Sub Oceanic at Hilton Maldives Amingiri, 20188 North Male Atoll Anemone Thila (★4.9) The dive site is of round shape and can be defined as a classical Maldivian thila – a submerged pinnacle. The top reef is located at 4 meters which makes it easy to descent to for all experience levels. Sub Oceanic at Hilton Maldives Amingiri, 20188 North Male Atoll Mas Giri (★4.8) Located a 10-minute boat ride north-east of Hilton Maldives Amingiri, Mas Giri is one of our must-see dive sites if you like beautiful marine life. Pretty much all tropical reef fish that are home in the Maldives can be found on Mas Giri. Sub Oceanic at Hilton Maldives Amingiri, 20188 North Male Atoll Hulangu Kandu (★4.9) Hulangu Kandu is located in the channel just North of Hilton Maldives Amingiri. The dive site itself sits at the corner of the outer reef. It is an interesting diving spot with changing reef structures and anything Maldives has to offer. Dive into one of Maldives TOP 10 Dive Sites to meet Grey Reef Sharks and more Sub Oceanic at Hilton Maldives Amingiri, 20188 North Male Atoll Neygey Thila (★4.7) Located just north of Amingiri. This dive site lies in the protection of a faru in between two channels. This makes the dive sites less exposed to strong currents and therewith suitable for all experience levels. The reef structure is a thila from 4 to 30 meters. Sub Oceanic at Hilton Maldives Amingiri, 20188 North Male Atoll Black Coral (★4.7) Black Coral consists of a long wall along a large circular shaped reef. The top starts at 4 meters and then descends to about 25m where you will find a sandy bottom. Due to its size, this reef has many different areas to explore. On the wall you will find lots of overhangs and even a small swim through. Sub Oceanic at Hilton Maldives Amingiri, 20188 North Male Atoll Shark Point (★4.6) Shark Point is located 45 minutes north west of Hilton Maldives Amingiri. The dive site promises a pleasant drift dive in depths from 10 to 30 meters along a pretty faru (long reef) close to Rasfari Corner. Mares, Janez Kranjc Coral Garden (★4.5) A small Giri with an abundance of corals, reef life and names, eg. Floral Garden, Teabag-Giri or Aquarium. The top of the reef starts at 1m at low tide and extends down to 20m+ on certain parts of the seamount. Most of the days you will be able to go around the whole circular reef as the currents are small. Mares Kunaavashi Kandu (★4.3) The third channel to the west of Fulidhoo offers a great dive to see big fish during incoming currents at both channel entrances. The south side has larger overhangs and cavities starting at 10m down to 30m+ moving further into the channel. Along the reef edge you will mostly find grey reef- and white-tip sharks. Aqualung Farukolhu Kandu (★4.6) Farukolhu Kandu (Fulidhoo Channel), a short boat ride from Fulidhoo, is a drift dive for all levels of divers. The reef is situated on a shallow channel, between 8 to 30 m. Sub Oceanic at Hilton Maldives Amingiri, 20188 North Male Atoll Baros Faru (★4.8) Baros Faru is a beautiful reef with healthy hardcoral life, located on the southern end of Baros’ lagoon. The landscape is very distinctive as the bottom of the reef merges with and endless coral garden at around 25 meters of depth. Sub Oceanic at Hilton Maldives Amingiri, 20188 North Male Atoll Underwater Habitat by Sub Oceanic at Hilton Maldives (★4.8) Underwater Habitat created by Sub Oceanic at Hilton Maldives is a unique project under the lead of our Resident Marine Biologist Mohamed Abaan better know as “Bunny“ . Scubapro Kuda Badhi Caves (★4.3) Located along a stand alone reef. There are several overhangs towards the East side of the reef that can be explored quite easily. Start the dive up current from the caves and put up the DSMB towards the end of the dive. Dive Mission Joy, 08080 K. kasanfaru Lagoon Asdhoo Wreck (★4.5) Asdhoo Wreck is a small steel vessel located on a Giri South of Asdhoo Island. Reachable with a 30 minutes boat ride, The Wreck lies in the Sand with a maximum depth of 22 meters. The upper part of the wreck is going up to 10 meters. The reef behind the Wreck turns into a wall in direction north. Maahid M. (#4104678) Foah Malé (★4.4) It is a dive for advanced divers with multiple logged dives and experience in deep diving, as you will be spending a lot of time in the blue water hanging at around 30m. The dive is in the middle of the ocean though you may start from the reef. High boat traffic. DSMB is a must. Mares Baracuda Point (★4.6) Barracuda Point is a beautiful and exciting drift along the reef that lays in the channel to the north from Akirifushi Island. The dive combines outer reef and channel. Mares Hohola Thila (★4.4) Hohola Thila is a small Thila with an amazing rich underwater life. This small and extremely colorful spot can be surrounded in one dive. Suitable for divers of all level - from beginners to advanced. The top reef lies by around 6 meters, and it falls to 30+ meters to a sandy bottom. Tim A. (#4772619) Madi Miyaru Kanmathi (★4.6) 5 min from Hulhumale Jetty, an extensive reef. It’s a steep slope starting at 3-5m down to 25m, and then where it has a sandy bottom at 30m+. the further you got away from the the reef the deeper it gets. This dive site normally doesn’t have current. Please use an SMB when ascending as there is alot of boat traffic. Mares Rasdhoo Ferry Terminal (★4.6) This dive site is located at the harbour of Rasdhoo and suitable for confined water training. There are stairs leading into the water from the pier.
