From 2000 to 2009 this dive site was ranked world 10th place of shark diving. The top of the reef is full of hard corals. The sides of the “Thila” are covered with soft corals. The currents are strong here and highly recommend for Advanced and Nitrox divers. Jakub S. (#2992458) Thulhagiri Housereef (★4.2) The main housereef of Thulhagiri resort. It spans across the northwest-north part of the island. Entry points are marked with red buoys. The western buoy has a line attached to get to 6m deep plateu. perfect for training dives. Afterwards the dive is mostly wall with multiple overhangs going down to about 20m. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Bodu Hithi / Kuda Thila (★4.4) This site is known well for its manta cleaning station and feeding ground. Here, between December and April, manta rays come for cleaning or plankton feeding. This spot is great for diving and snorkeling. SUN SIYAM DIVING OLHUVELI, 2005 South Male Atoll Olhuveli House Reef (★4.3) The dive school located at the end of the main jetty offers access to the house reef, giving you easy excess to the seamless drop-off for diving and snorkeling. One of the best house reef resorts in the Maldives. Night feeding manta rays are here almost every night. DivePoint Hudhuran Fushi, 20193 Male Kani Corner (★4.3) Kani Corner is basically a slope that goes to 25 - 30 m in a sandy bottom. There are some big blocks this deep and at the right time, mantas visit the blocks or pass by the top of the reef. The current can be strong so take caution. SUN SIYAM DIVING OLHUVELI, 2005 South Male Atoll Guraidhoo Corner (★4.4) One of the interesting attractions during the east monsoon, this site offers a wide variety of big fish life. The entire channel is a marine protected area. Depending on the strength of the current, be well prepared for several downstream currents and some washing machines when drifting to the inside channel. DivePoint Hudhuran Fushi, 20193 Male Sunlight Thila (★4.2) Sunlight Thila is a formation of two small reefs that attract giant manta rays between March and October. Between the reefs lies a 60-meter long sandy bottom boasting small coral formations with plenty of cleaner wrasses. DivePoint Hudhuran Fushi, 20193 Male Lankan Beyru (★4.4) Lankan is a cleaning station for manta rays and scuba divers visiting often get to see an amazing manta show, one of the highlights of any trip to the Maldives. DivePoint Hudhuran Fushi, 20193 Male Himmafushi Corner (★4.4) Himmafushi Corner is a drift dive, best suited for divers with a lot of experience as this dive is deep and can have strong currents. The corner slopes from 5 to 30m and after that comes to a small drop off to 45/50m. This dive should only be conducted during the incoming current. DivePoint Hudhuran Fushi, 20193 Male Aquarium / Lhohifushi Corner (★4.6) This dive site is located right next to the island. The long reef ends into a corner of the canal. Here you can see several highlights. A very nice dive site for beginners as well as experienced divers. Sub Oceanic at Hilton Maldives Amingiri, 20188 North Male Atoll Maagiri (★4.0) Description: Maagiri Reef covers a large area and consists of several coral blocks at various depths, a small drop off and sandy slopes. The most shallow reef top starts at around 2 meters with a maximum depth of approximately 32 meters. All this makes it an exciting dive site for all levels of divers. DivePoint Hudhuran Fushi, 20193 Male Lankan Caves (★4.4) Cool drift dive that also always brings current with it. Start either near the Manta Point or, with less current, directly at the channel entrance. The caves are rather overhangs that range from 12 to 30m. For the more experienced there is a deep nose in the middle of the current. DivePoint Hudhuran Fushi, 20193 Male Colosseum (★4.5) Colosseum is located on the west side of the island of Thulusdhoo. At the corner to the channel there is a large indentation in the form of a Roman amphitheatre at approx. 20m. This form is the epitome of the dive site and, at the same time, a meeting place for many marine creatures. Maldives Passions, 08090 Maafushi Maafushi Lagoon (★4.5) This is a shore dive, 2 to 3m deep, approximately 200m in length, has a sandy bottom with patches of seaweed, coral blocks, and is part of the Maldives Passions Coral Growing Farm Project. DivePoint Hudhuran Fushi, 20193 Male Lankan Faru (★4.4) Nice drift dive for all levels of divers. After Manta season we dive here to watch other amazing life. The reef slopes from 5 to 30m down, deeper on the bottom, sharks and stingrays are found in the sandy areas. In the big rocks, we see groupers and glass fish. Mares, Predrag Vuckovic Hudhuveli Beyru (★4.5) Located on the east side of island of Hudhuveli (Commonly known as Gili Lankafushi). A beautiful reef where the shallowest part around 5 meters and drops of to a depth of 30 meters with a beautiful curve on the reef where lots of different types of fishes schools. SUN SIYAM DIVING OLHUVELI, 2005 South Male Atoll Guraidhoo Outside (★4.3) This is a long, gently dropping reef. An easy dive site for every level of diver. Best depth is in the 5 to 20-meter zone. During the month of August, there is a strong possibility to see whale sharks with the small incoming south to east current. DivePoint Hudhuran Fushi, 20193 Male Lohis (★4.4) This drift dive is a slope from 5 to 25m. Some big blocks are on the way. There you will find big turtles and sharks passing by. On top of the reef, you see parrotfish, napoleon, morays, and eagle rays. DivePoint Hudhuran Fushi, 20193 Male One Palm Finolhu (★4.5) This is a gently sloping reef, ideal for beginners and advanced divers. There are many large coral blocks on the reef. This site is great for night diving as well. SUN SIYAM DIVING OLHUVELI, 2005 South Male Atoll Banana Reef / Manta Point (★4.5) This dive site is well known as a Manta Ray Cleaning and feeding zone from April to beginning of November and some times into mid-December. This is one of the best places to dive with these giant rays within this part of the Atoll. Sea Retreats Dive & Watersports, 20092 Thulusdhoo Gasfinolhu House Reef (★4.6) Located on the western side of the island. Beautiful long reef with arches and overhangs on the shallow part of the reef 14m above. Some area are a bit more gentle slope and some areas are a steep slope. DivePoint Rannalhi, South Male Atoll Enmadi Giri (★4.4) This dive site is in the channel of Lohifushi, with a sandy bottom between 15 - 25 meters. You can dive both sides of the 50-meter large sand channel. In the sand, you can find many coral blocks. Sub Oceanic at Hilton Maldives Amingiri, 20188 North Male Atoll Boduhiti Thila (★4.4) Bodu Hithi Thila is a two slightly separated seamounts in the famous Bodu Hithi Channel. Seasonally it is one of the top Manta Spots in North Male Atoll. Mares, Janez Kranjc Madivaru Beyru (★4.6) Starting the dive at 6 m on the top reef, you’ll find a lot of interesting coral formations. It is a large sandy bay, starting at 16 m and dropping down towards the reef where resting sharks and stingrays like to stay. Sub Oceanic at Hilton Maldives Amingiri, 20188 North Male Atoll Hulangu Kandu (★4.9) Hulangu Kandu is located in the channel just North of Hilton Maldives Amingiri. The dive site itself sits at the corner of the outer reef. It is an interesting diving spot with changing reef structures and anything Maldives has to offer. It requires a 60-minute (dive) boat ride to the north in order to reach the gentle giants. The station is active, alive and kicking during the northeast monsoon (December to April). Mares, Janez Kranjc Neru Faru - Hilton Maldives Amingiri Housereef (★4.6) A beautiful hard coral reef right in front of Hilton Maldives Amingri welcomes divers of all levels at depth from 2 to 25 meters. Located in a channel the dive changes its character depending on the prevailing current direction and strength... Sub Oceanic at Hilton Maldives Amingiri, 20188 North Male Atoll Bodu Thila (★4.6) Bodu Thila means Big Seamount in local language - however, it is actually only a small seamount. Starting from a depth of 2meters on the top the reef drops down to a depth of around 25 meters. The southside of the Thila has a lot of nice overhangs with a lot of macro life to discover... Dive Mission Joy, K. kasanfaru Lagoon Manta Point Dhiya Adi Faru (★4.7) The Cleaning station is located in a sandy bay at Dhiya Adi Faru (Low Tide Reef). The Sandy floor around the Cleaning Station is 12 meters deep which makes this dive to a shallow dive but the current can be strong. The boat ride will take 20 minutes. Dive Mission Joy, K. kasanfaru Lagoon Manta Bay (★4.4) The bay is the west end of Dhiya Adi Faru (Low Tide Reef). We can reach that place in 25 minutes. The U shape of the Bay and the two small Thilas in the middle are the perfect trap for Plankton in outgoing Current. The reason why Mantas love to feed on that place. Current can be medium to strong. Dive Mission Joy, 08080 K. kasanfaru Lagoon Lankan Manta Point (★4.6) To reach in 90 Minutes with the Doni in direction Male. The cleaning stations are located at the out reef and can have a moderate to strong current. Between May to November Mantas can be spotted at the cleaning stations
