Do you still want to make a shore dive? Dare the jump and dive through to Karpata. It is a steep wall up to 30 meters, followed by a sandy plateau and the next wall up to about 60 meters. Mares, Janez Kranjc Keepsake (F) (★4.4) Keepsake is a nice dive site on Klein Bonaire that is suitable for every diver. It has a sandy bottom with hills and gullies. There is a beautiful drop-off of 12 meters. Mares, Janez Kranjc Mi Dushi (T) (★4.4) Mi Dushi (My Sweetheart) is a beautiful wall that extends to 38 meters. It is located on the island of Klein Bonaire and its flat start makes it ideal for snorkelers as well. Mares Forest (N) (★4.4) On the southwestern tip of Klein Bonaire you will find Forest. You can only get here by boat and either do a shallow dive or visit the reef, which extends to a depth of 50 meters. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Margate Bay (55) (★4.4) Before the reef really starts you have a large stretch of sand that is also interesting for snorkelers. The reef itself is named after the schools of “Black Margate“ that you can encounter here. Ascuba Venture, Inc, 78412 Corpus Christi Buddy’s Reef (29) (★4.4) One of the most popular dive sites in all of Bonaire, Buddy’s Reef is a very easily accessible shore dive perfect for beginners and experienced divers. It sits right off the popular Buddy’s Dive Resort and is their house reef. Scubapro Candyland (★4.6) A beautiful reef with lots of healthy coral! You will also find a lot of coral shallower, which makes snorkeling here a great experience. Pay attention on the entrance, it is littered with remains of coral. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Vista Blue (58) (★4.4) A beautiful spot where you can easily get into the water. It is flat for a while, after which you can follow a steep wall from about 9 meters away. NB! There can be big waves. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Red Slave (60) (★4.4) This dive site is located near the red slave huts. It is a site with a steep reef that is suitable for more experienced divers due to the current. Mares, Janez Kranjc Oswaldo’s Drop Off (★4.2) This dive site is the house reef of the adjacent hotel and named after a local diver who often visited the reef. The reef is beautiful and versatile, for both beginners and advanced divers. Aqualung South Bay (★4.3) This dive site is located on Klein Bonaire and can only be reached by boat. Its structure makes it a fun and diverse spot for both snorkeling and diving for beginners and advanced. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Corporal Meiss (37) (★4.3) The dive site is named after Corporal Robert W. Meiss. It is a typical dive site like Bonaire has many. It is also a popular beach! So combine your dive with sun, sea, beach, snorkeling and a good BBQ. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Alice in Wonderland (45) (★4.3) A great shore accessible dive site that’s less crowded than some of the other more popular dive sites but still offers the experience of diving the double reef system. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Angel City (44) (★4.4) Angel city is an amazing double reef that runs parallel to the coast. It starts after a flat section at a depth of 5 meters and the first reef extends at about 18 meters. Then up to get to the next rift till 9 meters. The reefs are not far apart, allowing you to dive in an environment surrounded by reefs. Mares Leonora’s Reef (X) (★4.4) The reef starts nicely at shallow depths and is therefore good for snorkeling. In addition, you have a steep wall with many inlets and tunnels where you can find a lot of life. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Sweet Dreams (59) (★4.2) Attention! You can not park your car here on the beach because of turtle eggs (see the sign). Entering the water can be a bit difficult with the surf, swim over the sand and there begins the reef. Mares Calabas Reef (★4.3) Calabas Reef is the house reef for the popular Divi Flamingo Beach Resort and sits right out in front of it. A healthy reef system with lots of turtles, groupers and even a seahorse or two. Aqualung Sebastian Reef (★4.4) This spot is located next to the similar restaurant. The reef slopes gently before the wall really starts. Drop off your gear at the water, park your car and start the dive! Mares, Predrag Vuckovic Nukove (7) (★4.5) It is a less visited dive site, so as a diver you can really enjoy the pristine coral. You will regularly find sharks at the beginning of the dropoff. Discover Diving, 14043 Depew Hilma Hooker (Wreck) (43) (★4.5) The Hilma Hooker is a 236-foot Dutch freighter that has a long and varied history including being used as a drug runner. It sunk just offshore in 1984 and is now the most popular wreck dive on Bonaire. Gideon d. (#3720139) Oil Slick Leap (20) (★4.3) This dive site is an easily accessible shore dive right outside of the downtown area. There is a latter for easy entry and exit from the water. An extremely easy dive site to navigate and great for all levels of divers. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Jeannies Glory (48) (★4.3) If you look to the left, you can enjoy flamingos in the salt pans. On the other side you will find this dive site. You can only dive from the shore with calm water, swim down the sand flat and enjoy the wall! Aqualung La Machaca (27) (★4.4) La Machaca is a wreck, a 30 meter swim from the pier of Captain Don’s Habitat’s covered reef, so you need permission to dive there. The wreck is located at a depth of 14 meters, if you follow the rope you will come across a second wreck, tugboat Hesper. Mares Carl’s Hill (V) (★4.4) With its soft corals and sponges, this wall is a real delight for the underwater photographer. The site is therefore named after photographer Carl Roessler. The wnad runs from 10 to 40 meters. Aqualung Bonaventura (G) (★4.3) This spot starts off a bit boring, but once the dropoff starts it makes up for everything. There are numerous terraces at different depths, each with a different kind of life. Aqualung Sharon’s Serenity (R) (★4.4) A beautiful spot on Klein Bonaire, because you moor close to the coast, this spot is very suitable for diving and snorkeling. Depth of the reef is 6 to 30 meters. Mares, Predrag Vuckovic White Hole (62) (★4.8) White Hole is located in front of Lac Bay. You can easily get here by boat or by wading a good distance through the bay. The name is derived from the white sand plain. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Willemstoren Lighthouse (★4.4) Named after the lighthouse here; the Willemstoren. It is one of the southernmost dive sites on Bonaire and a beautiful reef but the current can be strong. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Cai (63) (★4.6) The reef is located at the bay of the same name and is easily accessible from the shore. The reef stretches out enormously so it may take a while to explore every corner. Be careful, there can be a strong current out of the area. Aqualung Kalli’s Reef (19) (★4.4) Kalli’s Reef is a site for boat diving. You can get there from the shore, although getting into the water is not easy. You leave the water in the middle of the adjacent dive site Mares, Janez Kranjc Wayaka (5) (★4.2) Wayaka, especially after a rainy period, can only be reached with a 4WD via the Washington Slagbaai National Park. There is little diving here, which means that the site is unspoilt. Scubaçao, Willemstad Water Factory / Fisherman’s Wharf (★4.3) In front of the old water factory lies this gorgeous healthy shallow coral reef. There are lots of different hard corals and large barrel sponges and orange elephant ear sponges with a shallow steep wall just at the end of the coral reef. Mares, Janez Kranjc Bon Bini na Kas (15) (★4.4) This spot is only accessible by boat and the translation from Papiamentu is welcome home. It is a beautifully situated reef that is worth it both shallow and deep. Mares Reef Scientifico (28) (★4.4) This spot is named after the research done here on the growth of corals on specially designed grids. Also nice for a night dive or snorkeling adventure. Mares Petrie’s Pillar (24) (★4.3) This spot owes its name to the pillar that Captain Don named after a friend as a wedding gift. The divesite looks very much like Andre I and Andrea II. Mares Captain Don’s Reef (K) (★4.5) This reef is named after Don Steward, one of the diving pioneers on Bonaire. It is a beautiful reef with all kinds of small plateaus if you dive down the rig for a long time. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Sara’s Smile (★4.3) Sara’s Smile is the house reef of Belmar Private Oceanfront Apartments, so if you dive from the shore you need permission. A nice reef and after the dive you will certainly emerge with a “smile“. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Éden Beach Point (★4.0) This is located at the resort of the same name. Right between Front Porche (31) and Harbour Village. So you can let the dive flow into one of the other 2 spots. Aqualung Playa Frans (★4.5) Playa Frans is a fishing beach with some houses. A beautiful sloping reef with lots of life and also fun for snorkeling due to the large shallow areas. Mares L’âne rouge (★4.7) This dive site is close to Colombier Beach and Colombier wall. Shallow water to start, then you will discover a pinnacle full of life between 20m and 10m deep. Mares Delphins Reef (★4.1) This is the house reef of the resort of the same name here on Bonaire. It is a beautiful sandy plateau before the wall starts at 15m. Very nice facilities for divers. Ouanalao Dive, 97133 Saint Barthelemy Aquarium Gros Ilets (★4.7) At only 5mins away to Gustavia harbor you have the perfect place for beginners (shallow water, calm sea) ! We call it “Aquarium”, because you have thousand of fishes and lobsters ! Ouanalao Dive, 97133 Saint Barthelemy Fourchue (★4.7) This island is located 15 minutes by boat from Gustavia. The site is located in a protected bay, allowing all levels of experience to come and enjoy this magnificent coral garden. Ouanalao Dive, 97133 Saint Barthelemy Le tombant de colombier (★4.6) Wonderful wall with a lot of plants, corals, sponges, and fishes! It’s possible to see tarpons, stingrays, turtles and lobsters. Sometimes there is a little courant on this site, so perfect to discover the drift dive! Scubapro Weber’s Joy (17) (★4.5) Located at the “Witch’s Hut“. Good parking and easy entry from a stone path and across a sandy beach. Well sheltered. Great macro site. Lots of sponges. Mares Hamlet (★4.3) Located in Hamlet Oasis south of Dive Friends Hamlet shop. Marked with a pin. Can be entered from Cliff dive site (Hamlet Dive Friends) or From La Machaca dive site (Captain Don’s). Mares, Janez Kranjc Turtle City (★4.8) When you drive from Sorobon to the east coast, on the left side there is a deserted shrimp fishing house. When the fence stops, drive in on a sandy road. At the end you can park the car and walk towards the entrance, which is a shallow bay at the shoreline. ←12
