Vaersenbaai (Kokomo) (★4.3)

The beach is an easy entry shore dive with parking just a short walk from the water. The actual dive site just offshore is called Car Wrecks as the bottom is covered in a bunch of sunken cars. To see the cars descend from the blue buoy line and watch your depth, it can get very deep very quickly at this site.

Parasasa Beach / Crash Site (★4.3)

In 1942 the USS Erie was torpedoed in this area and put ashore. From the ship a Kingfisher plane was thrown overboard and you can still find some wreckage of the plane as well as some parts of the Erie here. The ship itself is not here and was sunk several miles of the coast.

Angel City (44) (★4.4)

Angel city is an amazing double reef that runs parallel to the coast. It starts after a flat section at a depth of 5 meters and the first reef extends at about 18 meters. Then up to get to the next rift till 9 meters. The reefs are not far apart, allowing you to dive in an environment surrounded by reefs.

Leonora’s Reef (X) (★4.4)

The reef starts nicely at shallow depths and is therefore good for snorkeling. In addition, you have a steep wall with many inlets and tunnels where you can find a lot of life.

Sebastian Reef (★4.4)

This spot is located next to the similar restaurant. The reef slopes gently before the wall really starts. Drop off your gear at the water, park your car and start the dive!

Nukove (7) (★4.5)

It is a less visited dive site, so as a diver you can really enjoy the pristine coral. You will regularly find sharks at the beginning of the dropoff.

Hilma Hooker (Wreck) (43) (★4.5)

The Hilma Hooker is a 236-foot Dutch freighter that has a long and varied history including being used as a drug runner. It sunk just offshore in 1984 and is now the most popular wreck dive on Bonaire.

It is a dive that you do not have to do deep, the best is not to go deeper than 10 meters, but you must know where to enter the water. It is best to take a dive guide who has been there before.

Harbor Reef / Pilot Boat (★4.1)

The Star Gerren is a ship of German origin that was abandoned in a harbour in 1996. Because the owner was unknown and the ship deteriorated further, it was decided to sink it in 2000 and use it as an artificial reef.

This site is named Sponge Reef for good reason: it is covered in brightly colored, large sponges as far as the eye can see. Turtles also frequent this site.

Carl’s Hill (V) (★4.4)

With its soft corals and sponges, this wall is a real delight for the underwater photographer. The site is therefore named after photographer Carl Roessler. The wnad runs from 10 to 40 meters.

Bonaventura (G) (★4.3)

This spot starts off a bit boring, but once the dropoff starts it makes up for everything. There are numerous terraces at different depths, each with a different kind of life.

Playa Shon Mosa (★4.3)

This site is a beautiful small beach next to Playa Manzaliña with little parking. The spread out coral reef starts here at about 6 mtr/20ft and slowly slopes down to 30 mtr/100 ft before disappearing into a sandy bottom.

The reef is located at the bay of the same name and is easily accessible from the shore. The reef stretches out enormously so it may take a while to explore every corner. Be careful, there can be a strong current out of the area.

Kalli’s Reef is a site for boat diving. You can get there from the shore, although getting into the water is not easy. You leave the water in the middle of the adjacent dive site

Bon Bini na Kas (15) (★4.4)

This spot is only accessible by boat and the translation from Papiamentu is welcome home. It is a beautifully situated reef that is worth it both shallow and deep.

This spot is named after the research done here on the growth of corals on specially designed grids. Also nice for a night dive or snorkeling adventure.

The Teigland is an old ship deliberately sunk here. First she sat on a ledge but then she rolled over and now is lying next to a beautiful reef at about 70 feet deep

With a maximum depth of 20ft (6m), this site is perfect for beginners . This spot is just on the front at the beach and he have a sea museum with the statues.

Sara’s Smile is the house reef of Belmar Private Oceanfront Apartments, so if you dive from the shore you need permission. A nice reef and after the dive you will certainly emerge with a “smile“.

The spot is not exactly what you expect; nothing is visible anymore of the wrecks that sank here more than 300 years ago. Only some ballast and an anchor.

This is located at the resort of the same name. Right between Front Porche (31) and Harbour Village. So you can let the dive flow into one of the other 2 spots.

Lots of purple sea fans and large hard coral formations. This beautiful dive site is opposite Barbara Beach across the channel into Spanish Waters. It is not an easy entry from shore but with its full overgrown coral reef, definitely worth it.

Located in Hamlet Oasis south of Dive Friends Hamlet shop. Marked with a pin. Can be entered from Cliff dive site (Hamlet Dive Friends) or From La Machaca dive site (Captain Don’s).
