In 1942 the USS Erie was torpedoed in this area and put ashore. From the ship a Kingfisher plane was thrown overboard and you can still find some wreckage of the plane as well as some parts of the Erie here. The ship itself is not here and was sunk several miles of the coast.
Wide spread reef with the usual Caribbean marine life like angelfish, butterfly fish, snapper and parrotfish.
