Easiest entry is from near the second hut. Cross a long sand bank to reach the coral area. Look for eagle rays in the shallows. There are plenty of parking spaces, lots of shade, and benches to set up your gear on. Although a bit of a swim, the reef is healthy a beautiful. Channel Islands Scuba, 91360 Thousand Oaks Salt Pier (49) (★4.6) Active pier for loading salt from the salt works on the island of Bonaire. It can only be dived when no ship is moored, and no maintenance is being performed. SSI Service Center Southern Caribbean, Willemstad Stella Maris / Ocean Encounters (★4.2) This is a great house reef dive located from the shores of the Lions Dive and Beach Resort. Shore accessible, this site is perfect for newer divers and snorkelers and sits right inside the Curacao National Marine Park. Mares Harbor Village Bonaire (★4.3) From the resort of the same name you can dive into the water from the beach or from the boat. Beautiful reef puts different lives. Be careful not to dive into the harbor entrance! Mares Boca Sami (★3.4) Nice and easy shore dive in St. Michiels Bay with large sponges in the deeper parts of the reef around 30 m / 100 ft. The large buoy in the bay is attached to a massive anchor chain which is a perfect reference point for your way back. Scubaçao, Willemstad Playa Lagun (★4.5) Located on the northwest end of Curacao, Playa Lagun is a narrow cove surrounded by rocky cliffs and is an excellent shore dive site. It is known as one of the best snorkel spots on the island with a variety of Marine life. For divers it offers multiple routes on the outer reef and inner reef. SSI Service Center Southern Caribbean, Willemstad Porto Mari (★4.3) A beautiful house reef great for snorkelers to advanced divers. This site is technically a double reef with the first reef starting close to the beach and the second reef running out into the deep with a valley of sand running in between them. Easily accessible from shore. Mares Playa Funchi (3) (★4.4) Playa Funchi is a reef where there can be strong currents. In the water it is a bit of a swim from the beach. You can recognize remains of the foundation of an old plantation. Central Dive Curacao, Weg naar Bullenb Willemstad Kleine Knip (★4.4) Kleine Knip is named after the beach and Landhuis Knip. It is a beautiful beach so the whole family can join! Before you get to the wall you first have to bridge a piece of sand. The wall itself is beautiful up to about 20 meters. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Red Beryl (★4.5) This site is located on the reef around the salt pans. It is a relatively shallow spot, which also makes it very suitable for snorkeling. Please note that there may be waves on windy days. Mares Aruba (★4.4) Aruba is a beautiful and varied dive destination with many different, exciting sites to explore. Aruba is not normally considered for its wreck dives but it is rich in both actual shipwrecks and purposefully sunk artificial reefs, including airplanes! SSI Service Center Southern Caribbean, Willemstad Caracasbaai (★4.3) A great, shallow reef perfect for newer divers and snorkelers. Accessible by boat. Full of colorful hard and soft corals and sponges and lots of marine life. Mares, Janez Kranjc Sun Reef (★4.4) Sunreef is named after the hotel next to the site. The best way to get to it is by boat. It starts with a stretch of sand before you reach the wall. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire The Lake (42) (★4.3) ’The Lake’ is actually an ocean dive site accessible by shore and consists of a beautiful double reef. The first reef is shallower than the second reef and they are separated by a long sand strip. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Pink Beach (53) (★4.3) Pink Beach is a beautiful diving site, a typical southern site with a sandy area that merges into the reef. Feel free to bring non-diving family with you, they can lie on the beach and snorkel. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Invisibles (51) (★4.5) An easily accessible shore dive with a double reef feature. The first reef is shallow and great for beginning divers and snorkelers. The second reef is a bit deeper and separated by a long, skinny sand flat. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Salt City (50) (★4.3) Salt City is the first place past the famous salt pier. It is a double reef as is often found on Bonaire. The reef is a nice change of sand and coral. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Tori’s Reef (52) (★4.3) The reef is located at a passage to the salt pans and is therefore easy to reach. Take a good look around along the way, there is a huge variety of fish on this reef! Mares, Predrag Vuckovic Hands Off (M) (★4.4) Once intended to measure the impact of divers on the reefs, divers were banned from this reef. However, it is a beautiful reef that runs from about 9 to 30 meters. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Lighthouse Point (40) (★4.1) The reef here is between 15 and 30 meters. Shallower and deeper you will find mainly sand. This spot is a bit difficult to access from the shore but good by boat. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Bachelor Beach (38) (★4.3) Another great shore dive in Bonaire, especially nice for photographers due to the sheer diversity of marine life found here. You’ll be greeted underwater first by a sandy plateau and the reef starts just a bit further out. Scubaçao, Willemstad Car Pile - Marie Pampoen (Wreck) (★4.4) A nice deep dive where car wrecks were dumped in the sixties. The car wreckage starts at 15mtr/50ft with the more intact ones a bit deeper. At 30mtr/100ft you find a small barge on a sandy bottom with some more boat wreckage around it. For the tech diver there is more to be found at 60mtr/200ft and deeper. Scubapro Pedernalis (Wreck) (★4.1) This is a fun, shallow wreck that is mostly intact. Due to its shallow depth it is a VERY popular stop for all of the snorkel cruises so be prepared to descend among throngs of tourists. Still, a very fun dive worth the effort. Mares Forest (N) (★4.4) On the southwestern tip of Klein Bonaire you will find Forest. You can only get here by boat and either do a shallow dive or visit the reef, which extends to a depth of 50 meters. Scott W. (#4057253) Arashi (Wreck) (★4.3) A fascinating reef for beginners. Parts of a sunken Lockheed Lodestar are scattered at 35 feet of water. Coral formations, parrot and angelfish surround the airplane wreckage and coral heads. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Red Slave (60) (★4.4) This dive site is located near the red slave huts. It is a site with a steep reef that is suitable for more experienced divers due to the current. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Alice in Wonderland (45) (★4.3) A great shore accessible dive site that’s less crowded than some of the other more popular dive sites but still offers the experience of diving the double reef system. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Angel City (44) (★4.4) Angel city is an amazing double reef that runs parallel to the coast. It starts after a flat section at a depth of 5 meters and the first reef extends at about 18 meters. Then up to get to the next rift till 9 meters. The reefs are not far apart, allowing you to dive in an environment surrounded by reefs. Mares Calabas Reef (★4.3) Calabas Reef is the house reef for the popular Divi Flamingo Beach Resort and sits right out in front of it. A healthy reef system with lots of turtles, groupers and even a seahorse or two. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Harbor Reef / Pilot Boat (★4.1) The Star Gerren is a ship of German origin that was abandoned in a harbour in 1996. Because the owner was unknown and the ship deteriorated further, it was decided to sink it in 2000 and use it as an artificial reef. Mares, Predrag Vuckovic White Hole (62) (★4.8) White Hole is located in front of Lac Bay. You can easily get here by boat or by wading a good distance through the bay. The name is derived from the white sand plain. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Cai (63) (★4.6) The reef is located at the bay of the same name and is easily accessible from the shore. The reef stretches out enormously so it may take a while to explore every corner. Be careful, there can be a strong current out of the area. Mares Captain Don’s Reef (K) (★4.5) This reef is named after Don Steward, one of the diving pioneers on Bonaire. It is a beautiful reef with all kinds of small plateaus if you dive down the rig for a long time. BUBBLE SHOP, 97150 Saint-Martin HMS Proselyte (★4.4) Proselyte Reef, just outside Philipsburg, is the signature dive site within the Man of War Shoal Marine Protected Area. Site is named after the H.M.S. Proselyte that struck the shallow area in September 1801. BUBBLE SHOP, 97150 Saint-Martin The Bridge (★4.5) The Bridge is a site near the Dutch entrance to the Simpson Bay lagoon that hosts several yacht wrecks as well as the remains of an old bridge. The remains of the bridge have been completely taken over by sea life and this is what makes the dive worthwhile! BUBBLE SHOP, 97150 Saint-Martin Carib Cargo (Wreck) (★4.5) Wreck of the Carib Cargo / RoRo / Carib Ghost. Damaged by Hurricane Luis in 1995 the boat has been moored in front of Philipsburg for one year until Hurricane Bertha took it off it's mooring line in 1996. Found some time later, today, it is on of the best wreck dives on St Maarten. BUBBLE SHOP, 97150 Saint-Martin Teigland/ Cable Reef (★4.5) The Teigland is an old ship deliberately sunk here. First she sat on a ledge but then she rolled over and now is lying next to a beautiful reef at about 70 feet deep BUBBLE SHOP, 97150 Saint-Martin Lucy's Barge (Wreck) (★4.5) A barge lying at about 55 – 60 feet deep. She sank in 1991 and is badly broken up by storm damage, but you can still recognize the engine block and the propeller. Scubapro Gregory (★4.4) A 33 m long transport barge, positioned upside down on 15 m of sandy bottom, south of Long Bay. The boat is located not far from a small drop off with turtles roaming it and shoals of sergeants major. Mares L’âne rouge (★4.7) This dive site is close to Colombier Beach and Colombier wall. Shallow water to start, then you will discover a pinnacle full of life between 20m and 10m deep. Mares, Janez Kranjc Baleine du pain de sucre (★4.7) A small rock close to the island called Pain de sucre (“sugar loaf“), you can dive at a depth of 25m maximum. Easy to go all around the rock to find your way back to the boat. Mares, Predrag Vuckovic Pain de sucre Est (★4.6) One of the famous Sugarloaf dive sites. This spot is one of the most protected spots from the wind and waves. Making it perfect for beginners and if you are looking for an easy dive.. Mares Pain de sucre Sud (★4.7) South Sugarloaf is one of the most famous diving sites on this part of the island. It provides amazing dives for every level of divers and almost always great visibility! Mares Delphins Reef (★4.1) This is the house reef of the resort of the same name here on Bonaire. It is a beautiful sandy plateau before the wall starts at 15m. Very nice facilities for divers. Ouanalao Dive, 97133 Saint Barthelemy Fourchue (★4.7) This island is located 15 minutes by boat from Gustavia. The site is located in a protected bay, allowing all levels of experience to come and enjoy this magnificent coral garden. Ouanalao Dive, 97133 Saint Barthelemy Le tombant de colombier (★4.6) Wonderful wall with a lot of plants, corals, sponges, and fishes! It’s possible to see tarpons, stingrays, turtles and lobsters. Sometimes there is a little courant on this site, so perfect to discover the drift dive! Mares, Janez Kranjc Turtle City (★4.8) When you drive from Sorobon to the east coast, on the left side there is a deserted shrimp fishing house. When the fence stops, drive in on a sandy road. At the end you can park the car and walk towards the entrance, which is a shallow bay at the shoreline. SSI Service Center Southern Caribbean, Willemstad Punt Canon (★4.6) This pristine and unspoiled reef accessible only by boat is arguably one of the best dive sites of Curaçao. Tarpon bridge, a natural underwater bridge, is found at the most eastern end.
