The best Months to Dive in Praslin

Praslin offers year-round diving opportunities with mild water temperatures ranging from 26°C–29°C/79°F–84°F. The warm waters ensure comfortable dives throughout the year, making it a popular destination for divers.

Visibility typically ranges from 15 to 30 meters/49 to 98 feet, providing clear views of the vibrant marine life. The best diving conditions occur from April to November when the southeast trade winds are mild, minimizing surface currents. However, the northwest monsoon from December to March can bring stronger winds and more challenging conditions, though diving remains possible.

Located to the east of Praslin island, halfway to La Digue, Approximately 15-25 mins boat ride depending on the weather conditions. It is a submerged granite reef known as channel rock. The average depth ranges between 10-25metres. At low tide the pinnacle of the tallest boulder just breaks the surface.

Scorpion Rock Praslin (★4.2)

Located East of Praslin island and approximately 20-25mins by boat from the dive centre, time varies based on the weather conditions. Scopion rock is a gigantic granitic boulder, at low tide you can see the top of the boulder sticking out of the water. Depth ranges from 10-25 metres.

Dive amongst these rocky islands between Praslin and La Digue with depths of 5 to 25 meters. There is much life in these canyons. A beautiful dive. You may need more than one dive to get to see everything this site offers.

Located East of Praslin island, approximately 15-20 mins boat ride from the dive centre, time may vary depending on the weather conditions. The dive consists of submerged granitic rocks to which there are sponges and corals gripped onto them . Average depth 15-22 metres.

5 minutes boat trip from the dive center. Always calm sea condition in the bay. Mooring area well protected. Bottom composition mostly corals (hard and soft) .

Approximately 35 mins boat ride fro the dive centre depending on the sea conditions. Made up of giant granitic boulders out in the sea, really nice swim throughs, Depth of the dive site varies from 15-25 metres.
