South Male Atoll

Kandooma Thila (★4.5)

This “Thila” is in the middle of the kandooma kandu. From 2000 to 2009 this dive site was ranked world 10th place of shark diving. The top of the reef is full of hard corals. The sides of the “Thila” are covered with soft corals. The currents are strong here and highly recommend for Advanced and Nitrox divers.

Olhuveli House Reef (★4.3)

The dive school located at the end of the main jetty offers access to the house reef, giving you easy excess to the seamless drop-off for diving and snorkeling. One of the best house reef resorts in the Maldives. Night feeding manta rays are here almost every night.

SUN SIYAM DIVING OLHUVELI, 2005 South Male Atoll

Guraidhoo Corner (★4.4)

One of the interesting attractions during the east monsoon, this site offers a wide variety of big fish life. The entire channel is a marine protected area. Depending on the strength of the current, be well prepared for several downstream currents and some washing machines when drifting to the inside channel.

Lankan Beyru (★4.4)

Lankan is a cleaning station for manta rays and scuba divers visiting often get to see an amazing manta show, one of the highlights of any trip to the Maldives.

Sub Oceanic at Hilton Maldives Amingiri, 20188 North Male Atoll

Maagiri (★4.0)

Description: Maagiri Reef covers a large area and consists of several coral blocks at various depths, a small drop off and sandy slopes. The most shallow reef top starts at around 2 meters with a maximum depth of approximately 32 meters. All this makes it an exciting dive site for all levels of divers.

DivePoint Hudhuran Fushi, 20193 Male

Lankan Caves (★4.4)

Cool drift dive that also always brings current with it. Start either near the Manta Point or, with less current, directly at the channel entrance. The caves are rather overhangs that range from 12 to 30m. For the more experienced there is a deep nose in the middle of the current.

Maldives Passions, 08090 Maafushi

Maafushi Lagoon (★4.5)

This is a shore dive, 2 to 3m deep, approximately 200m in length, has a sandy bottom with patches of seaweed, coral blocks, and is part of the Maldives Passions Coral Growing Farm Project.

DivePoint Hudhuran Fushi, 20193 Male

Lankan Faru (★4.4)

Nice drift dive for all levels of divers. After Manta season we dive here to watch other amazing life. The reef slopes from 5 to 30m down, deeper on the bottom, sharks and stingrays are found in the sandy areas. In the big rocks, we see groupers and glass fish.

Guraidhoo Outside (★4.3)

This is a long, gently dropping reef. An easy dive site for every level of diver. Best depth is in the 5 to 20-meter zone. During the month of August, there is a strong possibility to see whale sharks with the small incoming south to east current.

SUN SIYAM DIVING OLHUVELI, 2005 South Male Atoll

Banana Reef / Manta Point (★4.5)

This dive site is well known as a Manta Ray Cleaning and feeding zone from April to beginning of November and some times into mid-December. This is one of the best places to dive with these giant rays within this part of the Atoll.

DivePoint Rannalhi, South Male Atoll

Enmadi Giri (★4.4)

This dive site is in the channel of Lohifushi, with a sandy bottom between 15 - 25 meters. You can dive both sides of the 50-meter large sand channel. In the sand, you can find many coral blocks.

Hulangu Kandu (★4.9)

Hulangu Kandu is located in the channel just North of Hilton Maldives Amingiri. The dive site itself sits at the corner of the outer reef.
