The plateau is 10 metres below the surface of the water, and the break leads down to 14 metres. Mares, Janez Kranjc La digue (★4.0) Just 10m from the centre, a pretty dyke teems with life, including fry of various species. Between sand and rock in a protected environment, come and observe the underwater life. Mares La prise d’eau (★0.0) Just 100 m from the centre, you’ll find an inlet teeming with life, including fry of various species. Between sand and rock in a protected environment, come and observe underwater life. BULLES PLONGEE, 34250 PALAVAS LES FLOTS Rocalucas (★3.0) Just 15 minutes from the centre is a rock ranging from 9 metres to 11 metres. It is teeming with life, particularly nudibranchs. A small site where observation is the key. Mares Gorgone City (★4.8) On this dive site, usually used for technical dives around 35/40m, you will be able to find beautiful white gorgonas (Eunicella verrucosa), but also nice seastars, gorgonocephalis or a lot more... Mares, Janez Kranjc Pleine mer (★3.0) An ideal site for deep technical training. We can also run “bio” outings to observe offshore wildlife and seabirds, depending on conditions., like sharks or pelagic sting rays. École de Plongée Sétoise, 34200 Sète Théatre de la mer (★0.0) An easy, boat-access dive site: sandy bottom around 5 m, then a rocky ledge and boulders—often in clear water. Two artillery pieces can be seen on the site (a large cannon on the ledge, a machine gun on the sand). École de Plongée Sétoise, 34200 Sète Le planier (★5.0) A small coastal trader that sank off Sète on March 3, 1905 after a collision. Lying on sand at 18 m, about 25 m long, and split into two sections separated by roughly 10 m. Mares Brise-lames (★3.7) Just outside Sète’s harbour, the old submerged breakwater forms a long rocky ridge. A simple route follows the blocks to explore the encrusting life and fish activity; be mindful of boat traffic and sea conditions near the port entrance. École de Plongée Sétoise, 34200 Sète Les patates (★0.0) Three rocky “patates” created during the renovation works of Sète’s breakwater: rocks dumped offshore forming three small mounds on a bottom around 14 m. Simple route by circling each mound. École de Plongée Sétoise, 34200 Sète Le jardin (★0.0) A wide, shallow rocky site made for calm exploration: slabs, small caves and plenty of natural shelters. Great for long, relaxed dives and for building confidence. Mares, Predrag Vuckovic Quilles sud (★0.0) Site off the Canal des Quilles, accessible only by boat, little frequented. Fairly flat rocky slab bottom, with sandy areas. Maximum depth: 10 m. Exposed site, unpredictable visibility and occasional strong currents. Mares La voie romaine (★0.0) A long strip of rocky slabs running parallel to the shoreline, perfect for calm exploration. Wide, easy-to-read site, generally shallow (around 7 m), great for practicing navigation and control. École de Plongée Sétoise, 34200 Sète Ponton de la bordelaise (★0.0) From the entry near the small lighthouse, follow the shoreline and pass under the Lafarge quay (Bordelaise pontoon) between the pillars, then return along the opposite bank: sheltered route, shallow depth. École de Plongée Sétoise, 34200 Sète Le décapsuleur (★4.3) At the base of the cliff, in a small cove beneath the monument known as “Le Décapsuleur,” you explore a very shallow rocky plateau (~1 m) followed by arches and crevices along the wall. Boat access only; exposed to SE winds. Ideal for practicing buoyancy control and navigation. ←1...78
