This island, which lies between the Sea of Outside and the Sea of Inside, is very rich in marine life. SSI Service Center Brazil, 13211-693 Jundiaí SP Ilha do Frade (★4.6) Located on the outside sea, in front of Atalaia beach, this point receives numerous tourists who are delighted with the variety of fish found there. The depth is between 8 and 22 meters. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Cabeço Submarino (★4.5) Considered one of the most interesting formations of the Mar de Fora, this reef that is in front of the Sueste Bay, allows us to observe the whole extension of the reef in a spiral ascent. Depth of up to 23 meters. SSI Service Center Brazil, 13211-693 Jundiaí SP Iuias (★4.8) With a very interesting relief, its rocks also form spectacular canyons and caves. Being a deeper point (between 12 and 25 meters), distant from the island and with the presence of currents, only the most experienced divers can dive there. AQUAMARINA, 55590-000 PORTO GALINHAS, IPOJUCA, PE Piscinas Naturais - Porto de Galinhas (★3.9) The natural pools of Porto de Galinhas have hot water, about 28ºC, with shallow dives around 6 meters deoth and good visibility, in a sheltered region without current. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Buraco das Cabras (★4.6) It is a drift dive that starts in the Outside Sea and ends in the Inside Sea, therefore, it doesn’t demand much effort from the divers during the displacement. The average depth is 15 meters and the point is made up of rock formations of volcanic origin. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Buraco do Inferno (★4.5) Despite its name, this underwater cave holds spectacular rock formations. It's a very interesting spot, with an incredible look. It's not possible to make long penetrations, just a few passages. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Cagarras (★4.4) Very versatile place, that can receive both beginner and experienced divers, because the dive starts in shallow and sheltered waters and its walls can reach 34 meters of depth. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Caieiras (★4.5) The dive at this point is around 17 meters and occurs between three distinct rock formations. It is well known for the amount of algae. It is one of the resting and feeding areas for sea turtles. SSI Service Center Brazil, 13211-693 Jundiaí SP Pedras Secas (★4.7) At this dive site, the depth varies around 15 meters. Its fantastic formation is already worth the visit. The rock formations form corridors, canyons, arches, caves and small caves. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Pontal do Norte (★4.4) Great dark stone monolith submerged further from the island. Its top almost reaches the surface providing, around the parcel, a dive with clean blue water. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Macaxeira (★4.6) Located in the Sea of Outside, this incredible place with up to 40 meters of depth, is in the extreme north of the island. The current is always present and leads the diver to the wall of collapsed rocks. After the outline, there is a plateau with many algae. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Laje Dois Irmãos (★4.5) A point much visited by accredited divers, the Laje Dois Irmaos is next to the hill that bears the same name. The dive at this point can reach a depth of 22 meters. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Corveta Ipiranga V17 (★4.9) One of the most famous wrecks in the country, the Brazilian Navy’s Corveta V17 is approximately 60 meters deep. To dive at this point, you need to have an Extended Range certification or enough experience for deep dives, always accompanied by a professional. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Ressurreta (★4.5) Besides being an excellent point for baptisms, it is also a good option for night diving. Located between the Rata and Middle Islands, the depth varies from 8 and 12 meters. Scubapro Gonçalo Coelho (★4.7) A ship carrying materials and food to the island of Fernando de Noronha, already used by the Navy, was useless oin that time. It was bought and sunk by Homero Lacerda and Clóvis Peixoto, in late December 1999, in front of Serrambi Beach. Minimum depth 16m. and maximum depth 34m. Even if there can be currents, it can be dived by beginners and advanced divers alike. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Naufragio do Porto (★4.5) A shallow dive point (up to eight meters depth) where the Greek ship Asturia, shipwrecked in the 30’s, is located. In this region some it is common to do the open water dives of the beginner course. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Cagarras Fundas (★4.5) Versatile dive, which provides several different profiles. It starts at the shallow end and can reach up to 30 meters of depth. Located west of Cagarras Point. SSI Service Center Brazil, 13211-693 Jundiaí SP Corveta Camaquã (★5.0) Ship specialized in setting up mines, that was transformed into an escort corvette during World War II to protect Brazilian waters. It sank due to bad weather and today rests at a depth of 60 meters. The Corveta Camaquã, adorned on the starboard side, still has several intact pieces, such as cannons and ammunition. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Cabritos (★4.4) Volcanic formation that serves as shelter for several species of fish. It has an average depth of 20 meters and is located behind Ilha do Meio. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Trinta Reis (★4.6) This small island, which provides dives at a depth of 22 meters, is located in the Outside area, in front of Abreus Cove. Its main highlight is the passage through a canyon formed by two rocky walls. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Cordilheiras (★4.3) Next to Rata Island, this point consists of a rocky wall that can reach 30 meters deep. Its trademark is the impressive visual. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Canal da Sela da Gineta (★4.7) This diving point is located at the back of Sela Gineta Island, with very clear and shallow waters. The dive can present moderate current due to its location. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Cabeço das Cordas (★4.6) Dive marked by currents. Its shallower part, that goes until the 17 meters of depth, is excellent to receive beginners divers. The advanced ones who want to venture into deeper seas, can go up to 33 meters of depth. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Cabeço da Sapata (★4.6) Place indicated for advanced divers and XR divers. With up to 42 meters of depth, it offers the opportunity for multi-level dives. Stay alert to the current. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Morro de Fora (★4.6) An excellent location, this spot is close to Conceição Beach and offers dives of up to 16 meters. Very well known for the concentration of fire corals. CNM DIVE, 13211-698 JUNDIAI Cabeço Dois Irmaos (★4.7) This dive can reach 52 meters of depth, between two bollards very close to each other. The visibility varies between 30 and 50 meters and the current is usually weak. Only experienced divers make this dive, due to the depth and the descent and ascent are made drifting. Mares Saveiros (★4.6) Due to the perfect and purposeful sinking, the tugboat Saveiros rests on the bottom in navigation position, at 28 meters of depth. Its structure is preserved, and it can be identified the mooring bollards, ducted propeller, house with control room, chimney and passages to the engine room. SSI Service Center Brazil, 13211-693 Jundiaí SP Servemar X (★4.6) The tugboat Servemar X was sunk in 2002, along with two other tugs, Lupus and Minuano, which are also located in Recife. This wreck is in navigation position and very well maintained. This dive is made between 20 and 25 meters and may have the presence of current. SSI Service Center Brazil, 13211-693 Jundiaí SP Vapor de Baixo (★4.7) It is not possible to correctly determine the name and date of this shipwreck. Probably she was a small wheeled tugboat, with steam propulsion. She is correctly supported on the bottom and although most of the parts are buried, the engines and boilers are almost intact and in the correct position. Not to be missed! SSI Service Center Brazil, 13211-693 Jundiaí SP Florida (★4.7) The tugboat Florida sank 14 miles from the Port of Recife, due to bad weather. Of 11 crew members on board, only 05 survived the wreck. This dive starts at 30m. and can reach 33m. Many parts are still well preserved, like the boiler, winch, double expansion machine, propeller and rudder. SSI Service Center Brazil, 13211-693 Jundiaí SP Lupus (★4.7) The tugboat Lupus was sunk alongside the tugboats Minuano and Servemar X. The minimum diving depth is 30 meters and maximum 36 meters. Many parts are still intact and well preserved. It is possible to see two large chimneys next to the cockpit. Mares Bellatrix (★4.7) The Bellatrix was one of the tugboats sunk with the purpose of being part of Recife's shipwreck park. Before being sunk, it was cleaned for the safety of the divers during the penetrations. Today this wreck is in navigation position and rests at 30 meters deep. Mares Mercurius (★4.7) The tugboat Mercurius was sunk on the same day and very close to the tugboats Saveiros and Taurus, after cleaning and preparation procedures for diving. Today it is in navigational position, practically intact. It can be seen the control room, propeller in duct and the engine room can be accessed. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Sao Jose (★4.5) Sunk alongside the tugs Bellatrix and Phoenix, is the tugboat São José. This wreck is in navigational position, resting at 29 meters depth. The house is whole, with the command house in the upper part. Above the engine room, there is a passage that allows penetration. Mares Phoenix (★4.6) The tugboat Phoenix is part of the Artificial Wreck Park of Pernambuco and was sunk next to the tugboats Bellatrix and São José, distant from each other in a few meters. This wreck is in navigational position and very well preserved. It can be seen the casario with command room, chimney, rudder and more. Mares, Janez Kranjc Minuano (★4.9) The tugboat Minuano was sunk on purpose and lies at a depth of 32 meters, supported on its keel. Its structure is well preserved and some passages are possible. It can be seen the ducted propeller, rudder turned to port, cockpit, mooring bollards and the bilge valves. Mares, Janez Kranjc Taurus (★4.6) After sinking in 2003, in Recife harbour, the tugboat Taurus was brought back to the surface and, due to the damages, donated to the artificial reef project. Today this wreck is at 25 meters deep, slightly adhering to port side. It is possible to penetrate and identify many pieces. SSI Service Center Brazil, 13211-693 Jundiaí SP Pirapama (★4.7) The reason for the crash between the Pirapama steam and the Bahia steam is still a mystery. It is estimated that this ship sank in 1889. Today it rests between 19 and 23 meters deep. Many pieces can be identified, which brings a great historical value to this shipwreck. Mares, Janez Kranjc Alvarenga (★4.7) Old iron frigate, fully powered by sail, sank in front of Olinda beach, 15km away. Today it lies at a depth of 24 meters and its hull is preserved. Mares Copernico (★4.2) The ship Copérnico sank in the year 1883, due to a fire. In its cargo were found porcelains, sewing machines, marbles, among other things. Its depth varies from 0 to 6 meters, having a part exposed at low tides, and the visibility is usually very bad during the whole year. Mares, Janez Kranjc Vapor Bahia (★4.8) The reason for the sinking of the steamer Bahia was a collision with the steamer Pirapama, in which the cause remains a mystery. Today this dive is considered one of the most beautiful in Recife, with minimum depth of 18 and maximum of 25 meters. Many parts of the ship can be identified, and the ship is in navigational position. Aqualung Batelao de Cima (★4.1) The date of sinking of this ship is not precise, with sources pointing to 1850 to 1900. It was a small ship, which today lies at a depth of 25 meters and almost completely buried in sandy bottom. Aqualung Vapor dos 48 (★4.7) The identity of this wreck is still unknown. Due to its depth and steam engines, it became known as the Steam of 48. The highlight of the dive is in its engines, with operation in diagonal position, and all components intact and in operating position. One of the wheels can be seen. Mares Veleiro Orca (★5.0) The sailboat Orca is made of iron and was purposely sunk in 1998 to serve as an artificial reef, providing shelter for marine species. It lies at a depth of 38 meters and its structure is partially dismantled. Some parts can be identified. SSI Service Center Brazil, 13211-693 Jundiaí SP Servemar 1 (★4.6) Located 3.5 miles off the coast, in front of Boa Viagem Beach, the tugboat Servemar 1 is at a depth of 25 meters, slightly bowed to starboard. Its structure is not resistant, but some passages are possible, like in the engine room and where the steering wheel used to be. Both spaces are empty. Mares Veleiro Yemanja (★5.0) Iron sailboat, named Yemanjá, sunk on purpose in May 1999, in front of Pina Beach, lies at a depth of 19 meters. This wreck is partially dismantled, and some parts can be identified, such as masts, mooring heads and cavername. Mares, Janez Kranjc Rebocador Marte (★4.7) The tugboat Marte was sunk in 1997 to become an artificial reef. The dive starts at 16 mts and goes up to 33 mts depth and can be visited by advanced and experienced divers. The wreck is in navigational position and has 3 floors, with several passages and parts. Mares, Janez Kranjc Galeao Sao Paulo (★3.7) Old Galleon, from the beginning of the 17th century, sank at the Cabo de Santo Agostinho in a depth of 19 meters, its wooden hull no longer exists, only cannons and anchors, corals and many fish are found. It was already explored by pirates, thinking it was the Santa Rosa Galleon. 12→
