    Koh Na Yak, near Khao Lak, is a shallow reef dive (max 9m) with a gently sloping sandy bottom. It’s an excellent site for beginners and courses, known for its diverse hard corals and abundant reef fish, including moray eels, barracudas, and clownfish. Keep an eye out for nudibranchs!

    The Sea Chart wreck, off Khao Lak in Phang Nga, is an 84m cargo ship at 40m deep (shallowest 24m). This advanced wreck dive is largely intact, covered in soft corals. It teems with lionfish, batfish, snapper, huge schools of barracuda, and occasional whale sharks. Currents can be strong.

    Koh Bon is just off Similian Island near Khao Lak. The water is clear and warm. However, every now and then a cold current can come up and be fairly strong so take caution. The reef is beautiful and full of colorful marine life.

    Khao Lak, including Tap Lamu, and Bang Niang, offers favorable diving conditions year-round. Water temperatures range from 27°C–30°C/81°F–86°F, making it suitable for diving in any season. Visibility typically spans 15–30 meters, providing clear underwater views, although it might dip slightly during monsoon months. The region experiences its monsoon season from May to October, which can bring stronger winds and currents, potentially affecting diving conditions. While diving is possible throughout the year, the best time is from November to April, when the seas are generally calmer and visibility is at its peak. Dive operators are well-prepared to ensure safety and enjoyment during less ideal conditions.
