Thoddoo, located in the Maldives, offers favorable diving conditions throughout the year, making it a popular destination for divers. The water temperature remains warm, typically ranging from 27°C–30°C/81°F–86°F, allowing comfortable diving at any time. Visibility is generally excellent, often exceeding 30 meters/98 feet, providing clear views of the vibrant marine life.
Although diving is feasible year-round, the best conditions are generally from November to April during the dry northeast monsoon. During this period, the seas are calmer, with minimal wind and current interference. However, from May to October, the southwest monsoon can bring stronger currents and occasional rainfall, which may reduce visibility slightly, but diving is still possible with proper precautions.
