The investigation of a cave that belongs to mythology. In the abyssal of Aegean Sea.The location and the inner morphology of a cave are indicative of the geographical evolution its wider surficial landscape has undergone. The Amphitrite Cave is located underwater, in the Aegean Sea, but once was on dry land!

The cave includes a variety of speleothems (i.e. stalactites, stalagmites) that need subaerial conditions for their formation. This means the cave was not always under the sea level.

This steamboat shipwreck is in the active volcano of Santorini between the new and old Kameni, two minutes away from the famous hot springs. The boat sank at 1926 due to a fire in the engine room which no one can explain.

This wreck is located inside of the volcano of Santorini. It sank in 1981 in the port of Taxiarchis next to the port’s unique church built into the cliff of the volcano. The wreck sank accidentally due to a crew member’s mistake with the pumps.

Cathedral is a nice shore dive for all levels of divers. It can be combined with a wall dive just next to the cavern. There is a chimney allowing sunbeams to create what are called “cathedral light.“ This can be a deep dive where you can observe some very unique antique pottery.

this is a boat dive for all levels. Advanced divers can visit a cavern. This cannot be called an island since it is so small but gets pretty large just under the surface, making amazingly beautiful shades of blue from light to really dark . On this rock you will see only birds above water.

G. Lighthouse (★4.1)

This boat dive is for very experienced divers. Hanging nets, anchors, antique pots, and breathtaking depths await. You will definitely see the amphoras, and if everybody has enough air you can go deeper and see 3 anchors. One of them is huge and standing straight like a monument.
