BLACK JACK REEF
Black jack reef is a 2km stretch of reef running between Kuoatunu and Otama beach. Although easily accessible has of late been over run with kina(sea urchins) that have caused a bit of a baron sea floor.
Although kina baron it has plenty of fish on it its a good hotspot for nudibranch and some other macro species. Some strong currents mean its also a good spot for kahawai
