Bornhorster See

★★★☆☆ (209)

The small Bornhorster See, also known as “Borni“ to us divers, is a fishing, diving and bathing lake with a maximum depth of 16m that was dug out for the construction of the motorway. One of the entrances can be reached from the car park via a forest path about 100m long. Visibility varies between 3-5m.

Great crested grebes can be found on the lake. In the water there are eels, perch, pike, carp, roach, pike-perch and crayfish.
