C-130 Hercules, wreck
★★★★★
(787)
Sank in 2017, as both an artificial reef and diving attraction, the Hercules is a fairly shallow site to a maximum depth of 17m. In 2020 Aqaba experienced a large storm which tore the aircraft apart and it now looks like a proper wreckage. There is a skeleton in the pilot seat, it’s not real!
The soft corals seem to have taken very quickly the underside of the starboard wing, and hundreds of glass fish can usually be spotted in the cockpit with lion fish stalking them.
