Cable Bommie
Lots of historic equipment on the bottom here for those who need iron in their diving diet. Several cables from Direction island, plus 2 large winches that we assume were used to pull the cables ashore from the ship. Also plenty of coral and fish for those not interested in man made “junk.“
Look for the lionfish under the bommie used to name this site. The current at the nearby ridge to attracts cruising grey reef sharks. Mantas are seen often.
