Car Wrecks (Kokomo Beach)
Car Pile is a dive site that was create in the mid 1970’s. The reef initially starts in a 45 degree angle. In the 1970’s, this area was seleted as a “dumping area“ for old cars that were no longer operational. The engines were removed from the vehicles and placed on a barge.
The barge lays between 70ft/21m and the deepest part of the barge is in 100ft/30m of depth. The barge has a lot of growthon it, including sponges and soft coral.
