Gilutungan Marine Sanctuary

Gilutongan Island, also called Hilutungan Island, Hilotongan Island or Lutungan Island, lies 30 minutes by banka boat from Mactan Island. The island is home to numerous coral reefs and sea grass meadows.

Island is famous for its giant trevally and a school of orbicular batfish. Healthy coral reef and its inhabitants.

With this program, you can try out various specializations before committing to the full professional program. It's a great way to experience advanced diver training and how valuable advanced diver training can be for diving adventures. In the Advanced Explorer program, you will try 5 different specializations. After a thorough introduction by an SSI instructor, you will complete an open water training dive in each specialty. Marigondon Cave is the most exciting dive along the coast of Mactan Island, Cebu. It has a roof at around 29m/95ft and a floor of at about 40m/133ft. the diameter of the cave is near 10m/33ft. At the entry there is a small alcove. Sidemount or Twinset is a must diving in the area.
